Which of these two stones should I get for e-ring?

I looked at both of these stones at an appraiser''s office today... they''re both beautiful and I''m not sure which one to get! The WF stone is crisp and may appear whiter (maybe it''s the negligible fluorescence), but it''s smaller than the GOG stone. Which stone would you choose?

Good Old Gold

White Flash

My boyfriend wants to put the stone on his credit card for rewards instead of paying by wire. Do either of these vendors offer a PS discount without wire payment?

They are both knockout stones - you couldn''t go wrong with either.

Not having seen them in person, I''d pick the GOG stone just cuz it''s bigger. And because I don''t need VVS2 clarity when VS2 is still more than great. Dunno the price diff since the price is not listed on GOG anymore (assuming cuz you''ve reserved it).

Seriously, they''re both fabulous.

The WF says sold, not reserved, so my post may be moot, but I''d go for the GOG. I''m sure both are beautiful, but I too wouldn''t want to pay for that high of clarity.

They''re both "reserved" or "sold" because they''re at my local appraiser''s office. My boyfriend and the appraiser both voted for WF, but I was leaning toward GOG (because of the size and lower price). I would definitely get the WF stone (which seemed whiter and less hazy, but smaller) if it wasn''t more expensive than the stone from GOG. I appreciate your responses!

Duh. It''s early, not much coffee. Forgive me.

I''m surprised to hear that about the GOG stone, as I believe it''s an Isee2, who cuts an awfully nice, tight diamond.

Update: the price difference between the stones ended up being approximately $200. We looked at the stones under a skylight around noon today and each picked which one we thought sparkled the most... we both picked the Whiteflash stone!

These diamonds were very difficult to tell apart. They would be a perfect pair for earrings (in my dreams)! I loved the slightly larger size of the GOG stone and didn''t care about the lower clarity, but I think that Whiteflash is a better choice for us. We don''t live far from Houston, so it will be much easier to upgrade in the future!

Thanks to Sheerah for all of her help!

Now I''m off to browse through various solitaire setting posts... Whiteflash, SuperbCert, Leon...
