Which of these two settings is more feminine?

If it simply has to come down to these two choices below, one for a guy and one for a girl, which would be more suitable for the girl, and which for the guy?

I know that a bezel setting would be better for a guy, but whatever the reasons are, if it comes down to these two settings, which would you lean toward for the girl, and which for the guy? I know the second part of the question sounds redundant... sorry about that...

Thanks!

Same here.

Wait, I am confused... a guy is going to wear one of them? Neither of these are particularly masculine, although they are both on the modern side.

My boyfriend said the top one was more appropriate for a guy. The bottom one is too 'girly' according to him. I agree.

I personally find tapering to be more feminine. Maybe combining the two (cathedral and tapering) would be best for a female, similar to the Legato Sleek ( http://www.whiteflash.com/engagement-rings/solitaire/legato-sleek-line-solitaire-engagement-ring-728.htm ). For a more masculine one you might want to look at the Show me the ring, Mens rings thread ( https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/mens-bling-eyecandy-folder.116617/ )

TOP one for a guy.

Ditto everyone else.

I really don't se either as for a guy but if I had to choose I would agree with others. Top for a guy. Bottom for a gal.

Ditto all of the above.

Under protest, of course. What everybody, myself included, is saying is that daintier is more feminine. But many of the roles traditionally assigned to women require a great deal of strength - childbirth and raising children being on the top of that list. But since you've asked us to assign one of those rings as more feminine and the other as more masculine - ditto.

(sorry bout that. :wink2: )

top down the first may appear slightly less feminine, but I don't think that's the case if we were to see its profile.

Usually something tapered, daintier or thinner gives the perception of being a more feminine setting. Both can be worn by females but the lower one looks more delicate than the top setting.
