So I'm currently trying to narrow down which of these diamonds I would like to purchase. My budget total for the ring is $15,000 so the one option here would be stretching my budget a bit but I am interested in a simple classic solitaire design so I'm hoping to spend max. $800 on the setting. I want a stone between 1.75 and 2.10 carats, so far I have found eternity to have some of the most competitive prices but I was just hoping if anyone would be able to evaluate my finalists and let me know which one looks like the best overall diamond, in terms of both quality and price. One cert mentions in the additional comments: H&A, I thought GIA didn't certify stones as H&A, should I stay away from this diamond due to this? Any input you guys could offer would be greatly appreciated, even if that advice is look elsewhere. Thanks in advice, this is a huge purchase and I'd like to get it right the first time.

The prices listed are not the pricescope prices, I found the diamonds using the PS search but once I added them to my wishlist the prices changed for some reason.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it!! Hopefully I can be posting ring photos in the very near future!

Ugh, I just made a whole post for you and hit a wrong key and the whole thing disappeared!!! Anyway, eliminate stones that are not excellent cut. The other suggestion is to choose stones on the James Allen site because they provide pictures. And trust me, if you look, you can see that all ex cut stones are not equal! If you want, you can try to get another vendor to source a stone for you if you think their prices are better than James Allen. But I would suggest ID Jewelry because they do have an idealscope and will make sure you end up with a good stone. The one SI2 stone appears to have good inclusions and may be a good buy. I hope you can see the discounted PS price, but remember that you may be able to get these for less. I'd just send these to Yekutiel and see if he can source them and compare prices.

Thanks so much for the reply! I was hoping you would answer, you always have great advice! That SI2 stone that you listed looks perfect, it's stretching the budget a bit but the budget is kind of already broken since I decided 2 carats is so much nicer than 1.5! I don't know if I could get a better price than at James Allen, I suppose it's worth a try. So I just send that link to another vendor and see if they can get that same diamond for a better price? I did not know that was even possible! I'm not familiar with ID...who should I send this link to? Thanks again for your advice, hopefully everything works out and I can get this diamond. Searching is fun but it has been consuming way more of my time than it should be lately!

You are very welcome! It is definitely time consuming for sure! The contact person for diamonds at IDJ is Yekutiel, and you need to mention that you are a PriceScope member. They know we are particular about well cut stones, and that is why it is important to mention that. I would probably buy from James Allen if the prices are close, just because they have done the work of picturing the stones and will send idealscope images for up to 3 stones. Good luck and let us know what happens!

I would so hit them up for 10% off (discount includes a added discount for wire payment) this stone as they have done several discounts of this size on I J K color stones, and then again H I J K color stones for leap day.

Tbe stones DS sent were amazing as well. Good luck in your voyage!
