Hi,
Here are stats on two diamonds that I would like your opinion on:
Diamond 1:
Carat: 1.21
Color: G
Clarity:VS2
Cut: Ideal
Certification: AGS
Depth: 60.2%
Table: 56.0%
Pavilion: 40.9
Crown: 33.2
HCA Score: 0.7 (All Excellent)
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 6.92*6.96*4.17
Diamond 2:
Carat Weight: 1.191 cts.
Certification: AGS
Measurements: 6.83-6.86 x 4.16mm
Cut Grade: AGS Ideal 0
Color Grade: AGS 1.5 (G)
Clarity Grade: AGS 4 (VS2)
Fluorescence: Negligible
Table: 56.2%
Depth: 60.8%
Culet: Pointed
Crown Angle: 34.2
Pavilion Angle: 40.7
HCA: 0.8 (All Excellent, except Very Good for Spread)
The price difference is very small so that is not a concern. Specifically, I have a few questions:
1) Since Diamond 1 is slightly bigger, given the measurements, is that difference even noticeable (6.92*6.96*4.17 vs. 6.83-6.86 x 4.16mm)?
2) How important is the "Spread" factor for the HCA analysis?
3) Diamond 2's picture + AGS cert show only one minor inclusion, a small feather on the outer part of the diamond. Diamond 1, however, features a noticeable crystal on the table as well as a couple of small feathers on the sides and the AGS cert mentions that clouds are not shown. Is it possible for even a V2 to not be eyeclean? (Please see pics below)
4) Lastly, does it matter if one diamond's arrows are more distinct than the other? Which one do you think has stronger arrows?
Which one would you prefer and why?
