I'll start. For me it's the Faroe islands. A truly magical place whose beauty is unique and unlike anywhere else I've seen. Nature takes a very different shape when you're on a small island in the middle of the ocean.

It's the one place I believe is actually more beautiful when it rains compared to when the sun is out. The water cycle is very dynamic and the beautiful waterfalls rely on heavy rainfall to exist. Many small streams start to dry out after even a day of no rain. But when it pours? Then they turn into wild white streaks cutting through the green landscape. It's surreal.

Alaska!
It was a three week cruise and the best way to see all of Alaska.
We had plenty of time on the land
It was one of my favorite trips ever

And British Columbia
♥️

Only photos I have here. I have many more (scenic) in a photo album (haha so retro) back in nyc

These were the friends I traveled with every year. Always an amazing trip

No pic, sorry!

However, I felt truly blessed and in love when my late partner was with me at
Basilique du Sacré Coeur de Montmartre in Paris at night looking towards the Eiffel Tower when it started to shimmer.

I was at the right place, right time with the right person to experience the magic of Paris.

Some time ago, I was there with my then husband and did not feel a thing, and I knew our time was up, and we parted company not long afterwards.

DK :))

So many places it's hard to choose because there are those I've visited where the natural beauty is stunning and those where the architecture is stunning.
Slovenia
Plitvice Lakes National Park
Scotland
Amazon jungle
Hermitage museum
Picos de Europa

The Great Barrier Reef. It is a magical place and the tropical fish are incredible.

It is the first place I holidayed as an adult without family. It is my most revisited holiday destination; at present x 5

I got married on an island in the Whitsundays.

Too many to count, but I do have nice photos of what were essentially private beaches in the Bahamas, as no one was there for 95% of the time we spent there:

I haven't been around much, but I've been to Switzerland and the view there *chef's kiss

So many but most recently Isle of Skye
IMG_8646.jpeg

@Mreader, Skye is a beautiful island but for the first time in eight years we didn't go to Skye, we headed a bit further north and west to the Isle of Lewis.

Very different to Skye but I'm glad we went nonetheless.

Photos are the Callanish Stones (older than Stonehenge) and beach with turquoise blue water - just visible through the ever present mist and clouds.
