Novice here trying to make some choices. All of these are Asscher cuts.

It would be great if some of you guys could chime in with your reactions to each diamond here. It will be mounted in a 3.5mm band with graduated stones in a channel like setting.

My concerns....

1) will the J actually show yellow? I have looked at them personally and honestly I don''t think there is anything noticeable, but I feel like I am SUPPOSED to see a difference and then I think - ohh maybe I do see a difference.

2) Are the Depth/Table %''s ok on the fisrt one (1.73 carats)

3) Does the "thick" girdle on the 2nd one (1.63 cararts) effectively make the spread similar to that of the (1.51 carat)?

and please throw out any other reactions outside of my 3 concerns you have....

THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE. This forum has been a tremendous help (although I still feel green)

whopps - just re-read my post and realized this line may have come out wrong:

when i said "and please throw out any other reactions outside of my 3 concerns you have...."

I meant please do share all of your opinions/ reactions - not that I didn''t want to hear them

Can't tell you anything without some pics, an ASET would be ideal as well, an ideal scope will do in a pinch. And the SI is not likely to be eyeclean... have you seen it yourself or has the person eyeballing it for you told you anything about the inclusion visibility.

A J in a step cut will have some noticable warmth. But it's not an unattractive thing, it's more a personal preference.

These are all from the internet so unfortuantely the photos aren''t readily available to me as I''m under a time crunch. As far as the inclusion in the SI, I have no idea how visible it is, but it is located very bottom left where the prong would rest according to the GIA report. I feel like there is a little risk with each... the 1.73 J being a little yellow, the inclusion & thick girdle on the 1.63, and tale & Depth being a little off on the 1.51.

There is a 30 day return policy so I know I''m not up the creek if it doesn''t turn out to be great, but I would like to take the best shot at getting best one right out of the gate...

As for the "warmth" you mentioned in the J... there is another similar diamond available that has a "strong blue floresence" which from what I''ve read MAY offset some of that warthm, while possibly, on the negative side, add some oily or cloudiness. I''m trying to factor this in as well but man it is tough!
