please help me again . i need YOUR EXPERTISE again for the __''th time. it is so hard to decide especially if you want the best for your money. Here are the choices..both stones are GIA certified
1) PEAR SHAPE
COLOR: H
clarity SI1
table 57
depth 64.8
girdle TN
culet NO
symmetry GD
polish EX
flourescence NO
measurements 10.18 x 6.82 x 4.42
Price starts at 8500

2) PEAR SHAPE
color H
clarity SI1
table 60
depth 64.1
culet NO
girdle thn - verytk f
flourescence NO
polish GOOD
symmetry GOOD
measurements 9.99 x 6.88 x 4.41
price starts at $9027

Just wondering why a big difference in the price. Both are rated premium/very good cut. The cheaper stone has EXCELLENT polish vs. GOOD for stone #2.
Stone #2 has bigger table percentage, does it mean that it looks bigger compared to stone #1? can you tell by the facts given above which stone has the best fire and sparkle? Please help ! again, thanks!!!!

You are missing crown height % numbers in your information; however, it is very difficult to judge a fancy cut stone like a pear on numbers alone. Above in red I highlighted cut grades based off of Dave Atlas's fancy stone chart, but what would help are some pics of the stone and an idealscope image if possible. I'd highly recommend seeing these stones if there's any chance that you can. What are the carat weights of the stones? Perhaps one has a more prominent bowtie?

Here's a copy of the Accredited Gem Appraisers chart for fancies.

FireGoddess is right on how to use the AGA Cut Class charts, but both of us agree that you may need to see the stones to judge which you may prefer. I veer away from very thick girdle diamonds in general, but if the area of thickness is a small zone, I can use judgment about it not being so important as overall beauty.

It would not surprise me to see both diamonds look very much alike to untrained eyes. We''d love to see photos of each.

thanks a lot FireGoddess! your info helps.. however, i have not actually seen the stones. the info i shared are the only ones that have from vendors here at pricescope. i emailed USA CERted for more info re: crown angle and pavillion angle but they have not emailed me back. i guess i will try the other vendors from this site.
Hi David.. thanks a bunch! it is so nice to have YOU answer my question.
do you all think that the two stones i picked are okay based on the info that i posted?
again your answer matters a lot...thanks!
