We are having a private wedding (no guests) at first I was going to carry a small bouquet and then decided since I don''t have anyone to hand my bouquest to I would do a writst corsage. I was looking at pictures of those and I''m just not sure. Would it be nuts to wear a lapel corsage. We''re not going real dressy. Its a second marriage for me. I''m wearning a knee length dress with matching jacket? Please share your opions. Thanks so much

Hey laurie! I used to work at a florist (and my mom still does), so here''s my .02:

I''d go with a pin-on corsage, as long as the fabric of your dress can handle it. here''s why: 1) wristlets seem kinda "promy" to me 2) Wristlets are kinda uncomfortable 3) It''ll look more elegant in pictures. If caught at a funny angle on film, a wristlet looks, well, funny (when you see the underside of your wrist).
As far as flowers, I think orchids are your best bet. They''re hardy, and will last all day. Roses work too, but can sometimes wilt after a while especially on a hot day. Gardenias are nice, and smell awesome, but they''re very delicate and bruise very easily. Mini calla lillies are a good option too.
There are a ton of different varieties of orchids out there... what are your color preferences?

Ooh - I just thought of something! You can always have a wristlet made to include pins so you could wear it either way!

I''ll try to find you some pics...

I would consider flowers in my hair before I would consider a wrist or lapel corsage, but if you like the idea go for it. I wouldn''t be too concerned whether it''s a second marriage or not, though so be as dressy as you like! It''s a time to celebrate!

I thought about wearing a wrist corsage too, but mostly just because I didn''t want to have to put down my bouquet! But I decided against it because I know I''m extremely picky, and I don''t have a florist yet and I''m not sure I would trust a florist whose work I don''t know REALLY well to make me a non-prommy wrist corsage.

I say if you know your florist really well and trust them, a wrist corsage can look really great. Otherwise, what about a pomander? They are super cute and you don''t have to hand them to anyone!

I just wanted that you could still have a bouquet if you wanted, we got married with no guests, I had a beautiful bouquet, which I just put down during the vows etc.
