Hi,

Wanted to get your input on which diamond you would rather have. They are within $500 of each other based on the lowest prices I could find for each diamond.

1)

GIA
Round Brilliant
7.74 X 7.79 X4.74mm
1.73 carats
G color
Si 1 clarity (vendor has it in stock and has noted it as "eye clean")
Cut: Excellent
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Excellent
Fl: Faint
Table: 57%
Depth: 61%
Crown angle: 33.5
Pavilion: 41
Culet-None

2)

AGS
Round Brilliant
7.87 X 7.90 x 4.85mm
1.83 carats
H color
Si 2 clarity
Cut: Ideal
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Fl: Negligible
Table: 56%
Depth: 61.5%
Crown angle: 34.4
Pavilion: 41.1
Culet-Pointed

My thoughts are that the 1.73 G SI 1 price wise may be a better deal since I believe the price is below Rapaport and is discounted because of the slight flourescence.

On the other hand, the 1.83 carat seems to be priced above Rapaport- Not sure if this is because it has AGS certificate, hard to find 4C''s combination, or combination of both. Does not seem to be discounted because of flourescence either. Since it is Si2, would want to take a look at it in person too since don''t want to see any inclusions.

Anyways, looking for which one you would prefer and any comments you have on these diamonds.

Thanks.

Johnson

As long as the H is eyeclean, I''d select that one.

Me too, H if eye clean

The crown angle on number one is not great. I''d take number two if it''s eye-clean as well.

I also prefer the angles on #2, but would want to know more about the inclusions.

On the HCA, your first diamond gets a 1.1 Excellent TIC ex, ex, ex, vg

Second one gets, 2.4 Very good, worth buying if the price is right. vg, vg, vg, vg

The first is clearly the winner between these two.
