3.12ct I VS2 A Cut Above H&A
PS Bank Wire: $41,613.00

3.02ct G SI1
PS Bank Wire: $36,195.00

I love the size of the WF diamonds and their staff are attentive and terrific. I am just afraid to spend so much $$ on an SI2 I colored stone.

Why? What is there to be afraid of?

WF has a good return policy, so there really isn''t any risk. This means you can try one of the larger stones that appeal to you, and if you don''t absolutely love it, you can return it.

I don''t recall you saying you planned to resell the stone down the line, so I''m not sure why the I/SI2 ''label'' matters....it seems to be more of a ''mind'' thing.

Look with your eyes. They are much more accurate.

There is an ENORMOUS difference between the 2-ct threshold and the 3-ct threshold; and it''s HUGELY noticeable.

If I were faced with this choice, I''d opt for the 3.29 stone. If I didn''t love it, I''d return it and try the 3.02 G, SI1 stone.

If I were going to spend that amount of $$ on a stone, I''d want to sink it into the differences I can SEE (diameter) and not into things I can''t.
