which diamond would have chosen?

Well I met with the jeweler yesterday and picked from 2 diamonds to replace my chipped oval. Both were gia graded, one was vvs2, h color at .84 and the other was .81 vs2, f color. The .81 faced up a lot larger than the .84. My original stone was .84 vs1, I color. After starring at the stones for awhile I chose the vs2 f color, although I dropped a clarity grade I went from I color to f color which was very noticeable. Did I do the right thing??

I would have picked the diamond with the shape that I liked(ratio/no shoulders, etc), nicest faceting pattern,
and the best light return.

Since this is an oval, there is no way we can answer your question.

IF you didn't love either, I would've asked to keep bringing new ones in til I found one I loved.

Both diamonds are very beautiful and had amazing light return. I went with the VS2 F because it stood out more to me than the other stone. The jeweler actually had a difficult time finding stones close to my original stone due to the shape, measurements and stats. These were the 2 closest ones he could find. I was very pleased with both of them. I went with my gut and picked the higher colored diamond which stood out more. Now I am anxious to see how it all looks together. I just wanted some input on the one I picked. I will have the GIA report on Tuesday and can look more into all of the details of the stone.

I think you made the right choice if the one you chose was the one that grabbed your attention! And post photos, please, when you get it!
