Hi everyone!!

After months of absorbing information from Pricescope and lurking in this forum, I have narrowed my selection to the 2 choices.
( Thanks tp all PS-er for your detailed information and analysis in your posts [:D] )

The stones are both eye-clean, with the tiny difference being the G/F color, SI1/VS2 clarity and the Id/Ex Polish and Sym...

One thing that concerns me though is the crown angle for the #1 stone. From the chart http://diamonds.pricescope.com/round.asp it seems like it has fallen out of the Class1A range... But the HCA score for this stone is a stunning 0.9. So does it mean that 34.9 for crown still within a desirable range?

Diamond Stats:
No. 1 2
Color G F
Clarity SI1 VS2
Dept% 60.6 60.8
Table% 57 56
Crown<
34.9 34
Pav < 40.6 40.6
Sym ID Ex
Pol ID Ex
Girdle THIN THIN-MD
Measure. 6.5-6.52x3.95 6.47-6.52x3.95
Price base base+750

*EDIT: I have forgot to mention that they are both around 1 carat :).

Considering also that the difference in Color and Clarity only amounts to an increased costs of $750... Which one is a better value?
More importantly, one would you choose?

Thanks in advance for all your reply!

#1 is already sold - I hope that was you if you wanted it!

I like number one if it's eye clean. There will be little to no visible difference between the stones, so why pay the extra $?

That is indeed me.

The representative was very nice and informed me I can put a hold on the diamond while I make this difficult choice so that was what I did...

However...after the whole afternoon's researching and reviewing I still cannot make up my mind...

That's why I came up and would like to seek my dear PS-er their opinion :).

#1''s crown angle could probably compensate quite nicely for the 40.6 pav angle...i think i''d feel safer with those specs than #2...but do you have idealscope images or anything to gauge light return or any leakage in the stone?? specs are one thing but if you CAN get your hands on more information, please post it.

Great!

It is A Cut Above and it gets a 000 from AGS, I think you are going to be thrilled!

Thanks :), kcoursolle and Mara! Because #1 is a new diamond, I am still waiting on the idealscope image result

I will post them once they are available.

On the paper (which doesn''t tell us the whole story), I''d definitely say no.1 would be my pick.

Thanks for all the output. It seems like number 1 is the pick!
Here is the idealscope picture for it from Whiteflash.

From what I have learned on pricescope (please correct me if I am wrong), the symmetry of the arrows and the minial leakage at center is great.
And the leakage at the side of the stone will give it a more contrast and thus better sparkle, is it right?

Looks like a great image, I wouldn''t hesitate to buy it if they say it''s eye clean. There is very little leakage on that image, with just a little for contrast on the edge. I like it!

It looks great to me!

It looks like a beauty and that IS is

Thanks all for the compliments! To me it's very much like encouragements since I am soooo nervous about getting my first diamond!
Especially when it is my engagement ring and my boyfriend is paying for it -- don't want to get him disappointed eh?

Yet one more question though -- about the two white spots that exist at the 6 and 10 o'clock location enclosed the 8 pairs of triangles -- are they undesirable light leakage? How is it going to influence the light return when compared to say an idealscope picture like this. How the light performance differ between the two?
