Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum and I'm glad to take this chance to say hi to everyone.

I am about to choose one of the below two diamonds, which one would you prefer and why please? they look very similar (same color same clarity same price)

1st one has 0.7 HCA versus 2nd one 0.6 HCA score. the 1st one looks a bit too shallow tough, but 2nd one has an extra facet which I am not too sure what does that mean. both reports were issued in 2010 (2 years ago), does it worth it to re-submit the stone for re-grade or verification?

thank you for any thoughts and inputs. cheers

I would definitely choose #2 as the first one is a little shallow and I worry about those stones chipping more easily.

And no, you don't need a new GIA report but I would have an appraiser or someone verify that the stone is still as represented in the cert.

thanks for your comment. both of the stones are laser inscripted with the GIA# but I was thinking a stone sitting in inventory for 2 years might be a bit too long (i am trying to tell myself that this is the reason why the report was dated 2 years ago and still in the market)

personally i'd go down a few steps in color and clarity and get a 1.5+ carat diamond
