Which diamond to choose?

Hi everyone,

I''m on the verge of completing an e-ring purchase after months of research and careful deliberations... and now I''m down to two diamonds.

But which one to choose? It will be going into an Allegro setting from Whiteflash.

If it helps, my budget is $7K with the following criteria:
Colour: G-H
Clarity: VS2-SI1
Carat: 1.1-1.2
Cut: Round

Can I get something better for $7K???

Those are both awesome diamonds!

You really won''t do better than the ACA H&A for your money..

If I had to pick my personal favourite I would choose the G colour diamond. It is a little smaller, but I am quite sensitive to colour and so would opt for the whitest of the two.

They are both amazingly well cut stones and will both look very white - but if I have to pick one, that''s what I would choose.

Hi zman,

You''ve picked two great stones. It''s down to basically color differences, and a wee size difference. If you want to eek every bit of diameter out, go for the H. But the difference is small, it really shouldn''t be a factor.

If it were me, I''d probably go for the G. Higher color, lower price, and basically the same size. Assuming it''s eyeclean.

I agree with Cleo!

Given that they are both ACA''s, I would go with the higher color one as well. The size difference should be negligible really or not that substantial to warrant going with the bigger one for "bigger''s" sake.

Hey there, thanks for your replies. Both diamonds have been inspected and are eye-clean, so it really boils down to flipping a coin (almost).

Zman -- Just to throw something else in the mix ...

I found this one. $6,984 (PS discount/Bankwire price)

1.255, G/Si1

It is not an A Cut Above branded diamond, however, it is a Expert Selection diamond and the numbers are great -- Scores 1.1 on the HCA.

It is still graded an AGS0 diamond so it is a top notch diamond just not "branded" as an A Cut Above diamond.
