I''ve seen the 2.06 carat one and it is beautiful but I haven''t seen the other. What other info would be helpful?
Do you have the lab reports? Everything on them, really... size, table, girdle finish.
It would be nice to see them side by side knowing how they compare with a truly bright cushion cut etc. But this the lab report cannot tell. Having seen a few stones would help, and perhaps one of those tricks of cut grading - but these are not too common for cushion cuts and may come at a higher price. Btw, that''s good to know too - you don''t have to post it, but checking the database here (and whatever other sources, of course) for comparisons can only help.
Ok- I got more info. My boyfriend and I live in different states so I can't look at the 2 carat diamond. Last time I was in town, I had a chance to see the 2.06 though, which I loved. But now he has found another one he is considering. I am a very new to diamonds and need all the help I can get. I think he'd like to put a deposit on one of these very soon. I know I don't have any pictures but I'd love to hear your opinions. Thanks!
Yes what belle and Ana said. Are these stones coming from the same source/vendor. You will need to get the lab report, and give us the depth and table measurements etc... Cushions are tough, best if you can see them side by side. Numbers are great, but you also need to trust your eyes too. If you can provide us with pics that would be a big plus.
I've read a lot of the past posts. The thing that bothers me about the 2.00 carat one is the girdle and the 7.25 length. I think this might make it looks smaller than it is. Also, it seems too deep. Am I right?
The 2.06 has a better length but I don't know if its girdle, depth and table are alright. Also, the 2.06 is a H compared to the 2.00G. I don't think this matters but correct me if I'm wrong. Finally, the 2.06 has a better clarity which I like.
