So i have two stones both are GIA graded but I can''t decide on which one to choose? Will there be an visible difference between the two?

Carat: 1.4
Color: G
Cut: Ex, VG, VG
Clarity: VS2
Cost: 7900

Carat: 1.3
Color H
Cut: EX EX EX
Clarity VS2
Cost: 6500

Both have medium blue fluorescence. Please give me the advise. is the extra 1400 worth the difference? Will med blue hurt the G color more than the H color? Is there really a difference between 1.4 and 1.3? or EX and VG cut? Better yet which one would you guys perfer? thanks

Can you post the GIA report number for both stones?

Carat: 1.4

Carat: 1.3
Color H
Cut: EX EX EX
Clarity VS2

Both have medium blue fluorescence. Thats fine and not an issue.

Please give me the advise. is the extra 1400 worth the difference? Post the info below and we can judge the cuts more accurately and get a better idea of pricing.

Will med blue hurt the G color more than the H color? Not at all.

Is there really a difference between 1.4 and 1.3? or EX and VG cut? Depends on the proportions of each, no way to tell without the information needed below, however both these have an Excellent cut grade going by the info given? The polish and symmetry appears to be VG VG on the first diamond, the lay person does not normally notice a difference between good and above for each.

Better yet which one would you guys perfer? thanks Get the info below then we can tell you more.
Hi ichew

If these are online can you post the links please so we have all the info such as the -

depth%
table%
crown and pavilion angles
diameter
girdle thickness
star and lower girdle facet percentages

Then we can go from there. Or are these diamonds for sale with a jewellery store? If so then you could either note down the above info or post the report numbers and we can look them up that way to get the details.

Thanks, I will look them up and link to this thread.

That settles it for me, definitely the first diamond is preferable, the second is what we call a steep deep, it will very likely leak light and not perform or sparkle as well as it should do so this one would not be a good choice.

Ditto Lorelei.

Thritto.
