Hi,

I have been researching for over a month now and finally found the setting I like on Blue Nile. I need help with picking the right diamond.

I am looking for...

Heart shape
1.00 - 1.25 carat
Very Good Polish & Symetry and cut
Color D-E
Clarity SI1 or better

Looking to spend no more than $6,000 on diamond. Blue Nile doesn't have many available when I put in the above information however I am undecided which diamond is the best bang for the buck from what does come up.

Any info would be appreciated! Thank you!

This is what I am working with... just do not know which one to go with? HELP!

do you have to buy from blue nile?
why not choose one of the vendors that is recommended here and see if they can help you by actually looking at the diamonds and giving you some professional opinions to base your decision on?

I am not definately set on Blue Nile just like their web site and found the setting I was looking for. Now it is just a matter of picking the diamond.

Who would you recommend?

Thanks.

good old gold
and whiteflash

seem to be the reigning champs in the ps diamond/customer service realm.

i had the pleasure of at least emailing with both companies before deciding on a stone recently and can tell you personally they are pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful.

that way, at least you can get someone who will actually SEE the diamond in hand and can tell you what you''re getting - so you don''t have to guess - right?

from what i understand, blue nile does not have the diamonds they sell on hand and therefore can''t really tell you anything other than what you see online about it.

I''ve heard really great things, too, about dirt cheap diamonds/james allen.
I bought my diamond at Angel Diamond and would recommend them highly, as well.

Good luck and happy shopping!

Thank you for your help.
