Which diamond shape gives the most sparkle irregardless of clarity?

I am aware that cut above all determines how good the briliance and clarity of a diamond, but I also want alot of sparkle. Do I need to just look for whiter light or what exactly? I am in search of either 1.75+ cushion cut, oval or maybe a jubilee if I can find one---depending on my budget and the trade in on my current stones. I am not really drawn to RBs. Any help with this will be appreciated. I plan to go out later this week, maybe Tuesday or Thursday and look at ovals and more cushion cuts. Also, I was told by a jeweler a week ago or so that the more rectangular a cushion is, the more light it leaks and that it is lower in quality. The seemed different from what I have read here. Also, should I use the advisements for radiants on depth, table, crown height, etc, for a cushion? I really need some guidance here...Thanks in advance!

The advice you have is correct.
Oval = round with real bad symmetry etc

The more length to width variation, the more compromise in the idea relationship between crown and pavilion angles.

Chusion shapes can be a compromise between degrees of badness.

RB does work best but outline is a personal thing.
You can use the ideal-scope and other tools to help in your search.

i was wanting either a cushion, RB or an asscher. I went to WhiteFlash during Labor Day weekend. Once i saw the ACA- i have to say -- that''s what sparkle is all about! Hands down, the RB out-sparkled the Asscher. I didn''t get to look at a cushion there, but i had seen some in other stores. Although the Asscher was different and drew you in, the fire was by far the best in the ACA. Hope this helps.
