Hello everyone again, my second post on this very informative and helpful forum.

A couple weeks ago I had asked about a solitaire necklace for my wife, and got many extremely helpful replies; and I''d like to thank all of you who responded without bumping the post:

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/looking-for-a-solitaire-necklace-similar-to-hearts-on-fire-for-my-wife.73181/

I get the feeling my wife would prefer a bracelet over a necklace. In the past I have given her a 3-stone pendant and a journey pendant, and she does enjoy them very much, however our 6 month old son is now to the point where he grabs everything and has magled her open-ended journey necklace and she is scared to wear it anymore.

Also, I had given her a 1 ct tennis bracelet several years ago (from Macy''s when I had to move to another state for a job for several months and wanted her to have something to remind her of me), but even though the diamonds weren''t very bright at all, she LOVED it. Well, she was working at a conference a month or so ago, and she lost the bracelet in a hotel. Of course no-one turned it in, and she has cried and been very upset that she lost it because it really meant a lot to her.

She''s even said "Why don''t you just buy me a tennis bracelet with CZ''s in it, and we can get me a real one in a few years." but, I don''t want her wearing CZ''s, lol.

I need to lower my budget some unfortunately; someone ran a red light in front of me 2 weeks ago. I managed to avoid them, but I hit a curb and clipped a telphone pole in my beautiful, practically mint, family-owned since new, BMW 325is coupe :-( The guy who ran the red light fled the scene of course. That''s the spirit, Merry Xmas to you too..... I may have to spend some cash out of pocket to get it repaired well if insurance won''t cover all the costs, so I''d like to only spend $1000 ideally, maybe $1250 on my wife''s gift.

I really like the look of the WF diamond bangle, and I see it gets lots of good reviews on here. I was wondering if anyone had a pic of the 1 ct bangle so I could see what proportion the stones are to the bracelt/wrist?

Also, do any Pricescope discounts apply to this? Is the on the "upgradeable" list since it has ACA stones, or do they have to be larger?

I also found "add a stone" bracelets from searching here (never heard of them before), and the idea sounded good, but when I looked I couldn''t find any bracelets where the settings were minimalist enough. I prefer when the stones are the center of attention, not the metal setting.

The WF bangle is not my absolute choice, but it''s the closest thing to perfect that I''ve come accross so far. I''d love to hear any other suggestions from you guys/gals.

Oh yeah, it must be available in white gold as my wife won''t wear yellow gold.

Thanks,

Beady, the bracelet is available in white gold, so you''re all set there.

I have a picture of it, I think, on my wrist - will have to check when I get home this evening. If I do, I''ll happily post it for you.

Not sure if there is a PS discount on these; you should really ask them about that. I don''t believe it''s upgradeable because the stones don''t come with grading reports.

It''s a GORGEOUS bracelet, though, and I''m sure she''d be delighted with it.

Mara has the 1.5 ctw version, and we recently tried on the 1 ctw version. She said if she had it to do again, she''d go to the smaller 1 ctw version for everyday wear.

Hi Beady!

You will defnitely find this recent thread very helpful:

Best of luck! I think the WF bangle is the perfect gift! She'll love it!

Thanks you two.

Dani, that post was just what I was looking for, thank you for taking the time to post the link for me. I did search for whiteflash bangle, but for some reason I didn''t come across that post?

The 1.5 ct bangle looks a lot more like "diamonds" than the 1.0 ct...... Ugh, I hate price creep :-)

Decisions, decisions.....

Has anyone complained of the clasp coming open on the WF bangles? That''s how my wife lost her tennis bracelet, even after she had the clasp tightened.

I''ll have to check out the jewlery rider on our insurance and maybe lower the deductible so she''ll feel comfortable wearing the bangle in case she somehow loses it.

Thanks,

Mike

No problem, Mike.

I havent heard of any issues with the WF bangle clasp's. Maybe some of the actual bracelet owners can chime in....unfortunately, I dont own one at this time...LOL!!! But, I hope to one day!!!

I think it will make a lovely gift.....Best of luck, and promise to post pics when you get it, ok??!!!!!

Well, I emailed WF asking if they could send a picture showing the 1.0 and 1.5 ct bangles next to eachother so I could see the size of the stones in comparision.

Turns out they were sold out of the 1.0 already, so I guess that made my choice for me!

Tomorrow I should have a beautiful 1.5 ct diamond bangle for my wife! I''m sure she won''t be too upset that I had to purchase the larger stones, lol. I actually made her get larger stones than she wanted for her HoF 5-stone wedding band, and neither one of us has regretted that :-)

Now, I have to figure out how to sneak to the FedEx pickup location tomorrow, and how to get to the mall to buy a cheap, gaudy CZ bangle/bracelet. On Xmas, I''ll give her the CZ piece first, and she''ll think that is all she is getting, then at the end of the morning I''ll whip out the WF bangle and blow her away with it :-)

I can''t wait!!

Thanks all, I''ll post pics when I get a chance to take some,

Mike

OMG, Mike, how fun!!

See, it was meant to be for her to have the 1.5ct bangle. She is seriously going to love it!

I love your idea of giving her the CZ bracelet first.....you are a prankster...so am I, so I can appreciate the humor in this! I have been thinking of funny/creative ways to present my husband with his dream gift that I bought for him this xmas: the X BOX 360 video game system. He is such a big kid and has wanted this system for so long, but never splurges on himself...I bought it for him the other day...he is going to be so excited, and I cant wait to give it to him! Isnt gift-giving so fun???!!!

Cant wait to see pics of the new bracelet....Best of luck giving it to her!!! She is going to be in love!

ps- love your avatar. Your son is adorable!

You may want to think about have an extra safety clasp added to the other side of the new bangle. That''s what I did. I find that one safety clasp isn''t enough to make me feel comfortable, especially in the winter with coats coming on and off. I also lost a bracelet recently and am paranoid about losing another. It only costs around $40 to have this done at a jeweler and it''s worth it. Also, it doesn''t ruin the sleek look of the bangle. It''s barely noticable.
