I'm trying to pick a blue FCD to go with my Green and Purple Pink.

Which combination looks better for a 3-stone FCD ring?
Why?

1 hands down

Number 1 totally

Number 2 is a no IMO. The blue can't hold its own against those stronger colors, and would make the ring look quite unbalanced. It would be fine if the pale blue was a round and the green was a EC,then you would be able to switch the two with little issue.

Colors are balanced with one another in both size and color. With the second choice, it's lopsided in color balance to the right side of the combo. Size balance is OK as depicted, but if the two oblong shapes are out of scale, that could be an issue.

The first combination is a winner in both color and proportions.

What are you planning to do with this combo?

Kenny!!!!!!!!!!
You are going to set them?
Cool !!!!!

I picked combo #1

I'm gonna go against majority and pick number 2. I like the pale blueness and cut of the 2nd blue stone. I like the balance of the colors in the second example. :wavey:

The first one catches my eye a lot more than the second. I notice the whole thing on the first; on the second my eyes skip over the blue and go right to the green and pink.

+1 - also because the emerald sides are different shapes, the combination doesn't flow and I would spend my time looking at the differences rather than enjoying the colour.

#1 is more balanced and distinct IF those are accurate sizes.

Well, I did it again.
I didn't put them it on hold first and now the first one is sold. :nono:
When will I learn?

Thanks all for your input.

Awwww, Man....... :angryfire:

I’m so sorry, Kenny. I thought you had already reserved it.
