I''ve found 3 options that I like. They are all pretty different, but my last poll really helped me process my own thoughts, so I''m asking your kind input again.

I don''t have an actual photo of my e-ring yet because it is at the jeweler getting resized and mounted with my diamond. However, it looks like this except my prongs are straight. My diamond is about .8 carat.

Oh, and if you have another option that you'd like to suggest, please post a picture and a link. :) My ring is platinum and all of the above rings are also platinum.

out of the 3 you posted I like the second one, then the first. I would usually vote for a shared prong band but that particular band in your photo seems to have too much metal going on in my opinion. the great thing about your e-ring is you really have a lot of options for a band that any of them should work.

I just stumbled across this. It is platinum and has a euroshank, and it''s the first band I''ve seen with both of those qualities in my price range. It doesn''t really wow me on it''s own, but maybe it would look great with my ring??

oops..that other pic was too small..

Do you think this eternity ring looks better?

Option 3
LOVE LOVE LOVE! I love the look of barset eternity anyways. I know that''s not a barset, but the prongs look like it''s mimicking barset, but thats just me personally.

Option 1 looks really badly made to me. Would you be buying that exact ring?

YOur ring is simple and elegant. I prefer the #3, also simple and elegant.

Mommy of 4 - I voted for number 2 and its only because your setting looks somewhat substantial. I'm
afraid if you put number 1 up to it that it would just look too petite. I'm sure you can find a number 3
version that will look substantial enough to go with your setting - this option would also be lovely.

Edit - btw - the number 4 option with the euro shank looks pretty substantial. Its not my favorite on its
own but may look very nice with your setting.

I need to measure the thickness of my e-ring. It''s more delicate than it appears in the photo. However, for what it is, it seems to weigh more than many platinum settings I''ve seen. It weighs not quite 8 grams.

Are you going to be able to try these on with your ering? Or are you doing things through the mail/
internet?

My e-ring is currently at the jeweler being resized and having my diamond set. I will get measurements and hand shots once I get it. I bought the e-ring setting pre-owned on Craigslist.

The wedding rings currently listed are from eBay and are all pre-owned, also.

Unless you buy a known quality designer ring on ebay from a reliable seller with a return policy, I just wouldn''t recommend that route. You need to be able to try on the wedding band with the engagement ring to see how they look together. That first ring looks to be very poor quality, and I can''t tell enough about the others to make an educated choice. I just hate to see anyone get a really poor quality ring.

You ring is modern and your first two choices are vintagey to me.

I agree with Mrs. Salvo about the eternity. But the amount of metal gives it a bit of a modern edge so, though it''s not my favorite eternity band, I think it would work really well with your set.

What''s your budget for a band and what size do you wear? Maybe we can find you a couple of other options.

i voted 2, but like 2 and 3. i would be able to make a better choice if i could see them with the ering

I prefer option 3 (the eternity band).

I go for option 2 since it''s very unique but it is still quite elegant and IMO timeless.

I''m a size 5.5, and I''d feel comfortable going up to a 5.75 and maybe 6.

I let the first ring''s auction end without bidding because the price got too high (in my opinion) for what it was.

I let the second ring''s auction end without bidding because my fiance really wasn''t thrilled with it at all and I was torn enough not to go for it even though I really liked the look of different cut diamonds.

The third ring is at the top of my budget, but the seller says that it will go on a 15% discount in about a week, so I''m still considering it. I do think that I''d love an eternity that showed almost all diamond and minimal platinum, but it would probably be out of my budget.

I''m finding that most of the rings I like can be bought in th $300-$400 range, and I''d like to stay there if possible. However, I think I''d spend up to $600 for the right ring. It''s probably rediculous to you jewelry lovers, but I''m mildly obsessive about getting great quality for great prices. (Thus, my A Jaffe setting for $450...)

I do have what I believe to be a high quality diamond (supposedly valued at $5000 20 years ago when it was purchased, so I don''t know what that translates to in today''s terms. Now that I''ve read these forums, I''m anxious to find the appraisal on it so I can see the stats...), but I can''t see myself biting the bullet on that cost if I had to do it today. (

) I hope I''m not a misfit here.

I actually own a lot of high quality jewelry, but most of it was purchased for me by my jewelry-loving ex-mother-in-law. Thus, I''ve developed a taste for expensive jewelry, but not for the prices.

Ahh...more than you asked for..

Well, I found my wedding bands. I was able to find 2 platinum bands with 1/2 carat in each band for the price that I had budgeted for just one.

So, I''ll wear one on each side of my e-ring.

For $575, I got these bands:
