where to shop

I live in NYC, where should I go to buy the ring? My options are Excel diamonds or Good old Gold (it would be a trek but it''s not too far). Or would I get a better deal at whiteflash or bluenile? The budget is about $3500. We are lookig to buy a gold solitare with a platunum head. I would like a 3/4 carat diamond. Of course, I''m most concerned about cut. I would also like to have a colorless diamond. Am I asking for too much?

Goodoldgold.com will take excellent care of you and I don''t think you''ll have a hard time getting what you want for your budget there. You might save a couple hundred going with BN, but I honestly would pick GOG every time! They have excellent service, a ton of information on their stones, and you have the added bonus of being close to them.
