Where to sell a diamond? 47th Street?

I have a loose diamond for sale. If I go to the diamond buyers on 47th street to sell will I get a decent return? Decent meaning close to the wholesale value or will they offer far less?

I think it''s important to point out that a product, such as a damond, is worth more when an established dealer is selling it.
This holds true for a consumer buying a diamond- abd it also holds true for a delaer buying a diamond.
This is a double whammy for a consumer trying to sell a diamond.

Let''s say a diamond costs a dealer $1000. They sell it to a consumer for $1300.
If a consumer wants to sell it to that same dealer, it''s not worth the $1000 the dealer pays his supplier. Because the dealer gets service and advantages when he buys from regular sources.
So a $1300 retail diamond can become a $600 diamond if offererd to a dealer by a consumer.
