Where to look for a wide band similar to this to mount diamond in the middle?

I really like alot of Richard Landi''s pieces, and was thinking, to avoid having a e-ring made, then trying to find a macthing band, I could go with a wide (7mm) decorative band (few diamonds), and mount my round diamond in the center. Just wear that ONE showstopper! Any sites that you know of where I can get a similar mount such as this? Thanks

beau I get the concept of what you are after, but personally I just don't think a super wide band that would just have a head placed on top to accomodate a stone is really going to look right. I personally prefer rings that have the head more integrated into a setting vs. peg head type rings that looked plopped on top. I think you'd be better off just finding a wider engagement ring setting if you're wanting just one ring. I'm no jeweler but somehow I don't think it would be an easy chore to take an existing band like the one you posted, cut out a diamond or metal or whatever and put a head in there. my guess the rework would cost more than just buying a setting already made and designed for a diamond. There are a ton of wider bands out there though, check out simon g and pearlmans website has quite a few as well.

Here''s that setting MsS posted in action it''s around 1600 in 18K on Pearlmans site. I''ve tried this one on and it''s stunning. I don''t actually like it with the matching band (though I love that band by itself or stacked)... I do love that setting with two thin pave bands on either side though... BevK thin pave bands are under 1,000 dollars.

Beau, from memory I think you were concerned about your last setting because the prongs were too clunky and detracted from your lovely huge diamond. I think setting it in a peg head and just plonking it on that wide band is going to detract even more from your diamond and I doubt you''ll be happy with the result.

The Beverly K setting Mrssalvo posted is stunning and it looks like the design flows ''around'' the diamond rather than ''against'' it, if that makes any sense.
