rainydaze, OMG that ring is gorgeous! And a great price too. But it''s a size too big. I''m only a size 5.
I decided to go with SS first because their website says they're a limited production item. Evidently, the mini emerald cuts came in a lot that was purchased from Rolex and they're very high color and clarity. I'll be sure to post pics when it arrives, but thus far, they've been so easy to work with. If you have something in mind that you can't seem to find, def. give 'em a call. From what I've seen on PS, their work looks remarkably clean yet delicate and not so hard-edged that you lose that vintage-y feel. They also seem to have access to cutters who can deliver a wide variety of cuts, which would give you endless options.Date: 6/6/2008 7:43:36 PM

Thanks pixley. So you finally decided on the SS rather than the Leon? Or are you getting both? Can't wait for your review.
I second SS -- altho I didn''t officially buy anything, I almost did (and they have an item I still want!) and Ari and Patti were GREAT! I will buy from them someday!Date: 6/6/2008 5:36:41 PM

Hi Melanie,
Oooh, french cut baguette eternity band - how pretty! I just placed my order for the mini emerald cut band at Single Stone, so I can give you a full report with photos once I get the ring (in about 4 weeks). So far, Patti has been a delight to work with, and many people have had great success working with Ari as well. Kimikocat mentioned in my WB thread that she''d seen Single Stone rings at Lang''s Antiques in SF, so perhaps they can give you a bit of feedback on their workmanship, and perhaps they''re familiar with Sheldon Speyer rings as well.
