Where to find cheap PLAIN settings w/o diamonds?

Howdy fellow PS members!

Wondering if anyone can pretty please point me towards some simple 10k or 14k solitare settings that have no diamonds or halos. I just want something simple so I can start setting my stones! I am finding that LOGR is too expensive with all the customisation required - my last quote was almost $400! I am hoping simple claw settings may be altered by my jeweller locally. I have searched EBAY but cannot seem to find what I'm after. LiebCor is perfect but won't do international shipping

I really would like the following:

- Emerald setting to fit a 4.5x5.5mm stone
- Cushion setting to fit a 9.6x8mm stone
- Asscher setting to fit a 6mm stone

Budget of <$200 per setting if possible.

hi pozzum, I can recommend to contact Michael E of gemshoppe- he is great to talk to and is very good with setting and finishing and I know will work with you internationally. In that price range I would also suggest you look through the etsy thread in the jewelry forum, for example Daniel M has done some really nice simple gemstone settings for other PSers. HTH!

The lovely aj beat me to it! I'd very much recommend DanielM on Etsy. I recently had 2 diamonds set in claw set solitaires, and for 18k gold they were about $250 each in AUD. 14k would have been just over $200 each, and the workmanship is beautiful. Plus you can send your stones to him and he will set them for you, no alterations required!

If you'd like to see an example of his work, Amethystes' recent Lemony re-set was done my Michael (although of course it is not basic, it does show lovely quality). I'm sure Michael could send you some photos of prior work too, and there are some floating around CS..

Leibcor on ebay. Very inexpensive plain settings too, and made in America by veterans.

ETA: I see you can't use Leibcor, oops, sorry.

Try American Set on ebay. I recently ordered a semi mount from them with no diamonds and it was beautifully made.

I contacted Daniel M and he will be setting it for me! He and Caren were very helpful and lovely and the price is completely reasonable. I'll be sending it off next week and will keep you posted when it arrives back completed.

I just had them make a nice ring for me, and I couldn't be happier
