Where To Buy A Great Photo Album?

I'm in the midst of making a wedding album with my pro pics and I'm having a hard time finding a great photo album to use. I don't really even know where to look! I'd like a plain album (either leather or cloth cover), so wedding-themed albums are out. And if I could get our names and the wedding date embossed on the cover that would be awesome.

I'd like the pages to be paper (and I'll use photo corners or adhesive squares), not clear slip in sleeves. I guess I'm looking for more of a scrapbook type album. I'd appreciate any websites/brands/albums to check out! Thank you in advance!

I would google scrapbooking stores. If you live an any decent sized city there should be quite a few. They specialize in the higher end scrapbooks and should be able to do exactly what you want.

Found quite a few on Etsy searching for "paper photo album" (including a truly remarkable number of twilight albums  ) - depending on how much you're looking to spend:

No store reviews, but it looked pretty

Looks like they can customise

another shop that looks like they customise

in any case, you should find a ton if you potter round there a bit :))

I'm on my phone so I can't link, but Google Kolo albums, they are exactly what you described. You can either get leather or cloth and some online retailers will emboss for $5 or so.

I know of a few companies, Graphic Image and Raika, who sell leather goods. I think either of those should have a nice selection of leather albums that can be embossed. Also, not sure if you're into monograms or silk but Jan Sevadjian makes beautiful monogrammed custom albums. There's no website for her, but her items are sold through various retail stores.

Another vote for Kolo brand. I purchased 2- 11x14 'newport' cloth for the kids in fun colors, they are sturdy enough for our little tornado.
For our wedding we purchased their Large Saffiano Leather, very pleased with their products.

Thanks redfaery, yssie, starshine, flsteph, les12 and ninna for your help and suggestions!

I think I like the Kolo fabric ones the best-those are exactly what I'm looking for!

FLSteph-you mentioned some websites that will emboss the Kolo albums-do you have any links? I found 1 (jennibick.com) but it looks like they're dropping the Kolo line so their selection is very limited. Thank you!

I second les12's suggestion of Jan Sevadjian - gorgeous albums!

Thanks starryeyed! I checked them out and they're definitely gorgeous, but not quite my style. I prefer clean and simple styles-I like plain, what can I say?! :cheeky:

I like plain too - got a plain raw silk one. I like the fact that I can order and add additional pages. Good luck in your search!

Oh I didn't see any plain ones-just super embellished ones. I have to look a little harder, apparently! Thanks again!

Sure. I wound up with 3 - an album with all 400 pictures, an album with the Top 100, and a small album with the Top 20. I show the Top 20 most often.

T2, I got my leather one embossed after my wedding but it was 7 years ago and I can't remember where I ordered it. I do know they sell the line at some Barnes and Noble bookstores, so maybe you can buy it in person and get it embossed somewhere else. I will try to find where I ordered it tomorrow.
