I have a 3 carat diamond pendant, which I will be gifting my daughter in the month of July. Though I am ready with a gift, I think it will be all the more special if I get it inscribed! So point is, can someone please suggest where can I get it inscribed as soon as possible? A reputable and reliable facility, preferably from New York please!

I too have gotten a diamond ring inscribed! It is actually such an amazing thing considering it's tiny words or numbers on a tiny and delicate surface!
But i digress. I advise you take it to a gem lab as opposed to a local jeweler (even if he can own a laser equipment!!)
Gem labs like AGS, GSI, IGI, etc. can get the job done for you with the required precision and care. I got mine done at GSI at Ohio, which I think has a facility at New York as well. I've had a hassle free experience with this lab, considering the work and the price.

So, whatever you choose - go to a gem lab!
Hope this helps!

There are several in New York who can do it but the trick is finding one that will do it while your stone is mounted. I would try GCAL, www.gemfacts.com..

Do you mean have the diamond itself inscribed or have something engraved on the pendant. The inscribing on my diamond (AGS #) is so tiny I cannot see it with a loupe, so I don't see a lot of purpose in that.
