Well, lots of other people seem to have disappeared suddenly in the past, and then I see them on other forums. Who knows anyway, I''m only speculating...

You couldn''t sign up with a new name - you''d have the same IP.

I asked my husband & well..... he said something about external I.P. router, internal I.P. blah I dont understand.

I am in contact with him. He can log in but not post. I don''t know if it is technical difficulties or what, but he is not absent by choice, nor was he last time he went missing.

I log in and post from 3 different computers. 3 different IPs and 3 different ISP (internet service provider).
Have never had a problem getting in and out to play.

ETA the only thing I can think of is if a person's security settings or firewall are too highly regulated, but even in that scenario, I can get in from work which is a pretty locked-down environment.

Awhile ago, there was someone here who asked to be removed from PS and when they did that, it blocked PS for me too. We both worked for the same rather large federal agency so I guess PS unknowingly blocked however many thousands of people across the country from viewing this site. Don''t know if it''s different now.
