Reading some threads about how yellow gold settings can really color a "leaky" diamond got me thinking: What about well-cut round brilliants, which are neither too deep or too shallow? Does light only (or mainly) come in from the top, making the color of the setting irrelevant? Does it come in from the sides as well?
