Hi everyone hope you are all well,

Just out of interest, am I the only person who when she gets a new piece of jewellery jumps straight in the bath to look at the diamonds underwater?

Something about the light and water combined makes them look amazing but my husband thinks I am bonkers for doing this! Where do you all go to gaze adoringly at your stones?

Yes! My water aerobics class is full of lots of bling. Looks spectacular in water! And the lights plus water? OY!!!!!

You''re not nuts, you''re BRILLIANT! LOL.

Ooh, a new way to look at my jewelry. Usually I don''t put my bling in water except to rinse it off after cleaning it every day. Thanks for the tip.

Everywhere!!!

Yes, just slightly damp makes my diamond light up like a disco ball. My favorite. Other than that, even outdoors light (such as in light shade) is fun.

The grocery store. In the produce section!

Elevators! My bracelet lights up like fireworks in elevators!

Anywhere with recessed lighting: Costco, casinos, some grocery stores, some restaurants.

Direct sunlight is beautiful too.

Home Depot is my favorite! The casinos are pretty good too. It''s funny, we were at a show last night in the casino, and the woman sitting next to my husband was sitting there just staring at her rings the whole time! He told me that I was very obvious the way my eyes radared directly to her ring (I really thought I was being kind of casual about it). lol

I have to have the lights on, even in the day, when I sit by the computer. The recessed lighting here is the best. My husband is always turning the lights off, saying that we should conserve energy instead of looking at my ring all day.

my inlaws porch had a slated roof that allowed the sun to filter though it and the trees above. my absolute favorite ever spot was to sit out there on it and just gaze into my diamond. the colors were just beyond spectacular. sadly, they redid the roof so that it''s completely covered. no more sparklie rainbows

another fun spot is in an airplane. coming home from vegas where dh proposed, we were sitting on the plane waiting for it to take off. my ring was sparkling something silly all over! there were little pins of light all over the place, from other passengers to the seats to the plane walls. craziness.

Oh, I thought it was just me!!!

I LOVE looking at my ring in water. :) I wear it in the shower, and love the way it sparkles with water running over it... yummy!

At my parents'' house, back in the UK, they have a seat right under a bay-window which is filled with plants. The plant leaves scatter the daylight & it is THE best place for admiring my ring & getting maximum sparkles.

I love looking at it on the beach too, it always seems extra sparkly there.. and seems to glow blue-ish too sometimes, even though it has negligible fluorescence... I guess it must just be reflecting the sky or something - but it''s pretty!

Other thn that, recessed spotlighting/halogen lighting is awesome. We had dinner at my fiance''s boss''s house on Saturday night & his girlfriend was just floored by my diamond. (1ct stones are considered gigantic in NZ, and the lighting at the boss''s house was perfect). She said it sparkled more than any other diamond she''d ever seen.

You''ve got to love an AGS0 Ideal cut.... in any light! :)

Everywhere! In the car, the shower, in the dim bedroom when I wake up at night and see it twinkling on my finger, at work, sunshine, moonshine, at work in the seminar theatre, in the shopping centre, basically anytime I have my eyes open

Right after I wash my hands in the bathroom at work! Oh man...sparkle-rama. it looks amazing!

There''s also a slightly dim stairwell that makes my ring just turn into a disco ball. I love dim lights, like in movie theaters or fancy restaraunts.

My rearview mirror - when stopped at a red light of course

It is the only time I see my studs in natural light, and I love the way they look when the sun is going down. The reflect all the headlights and breaklights from the other cars.

Church. Stained glass, Sunday morning light. I pick my pew accordingly.

Tesco and Ikea!!! I walk around going ''OOOH look at my ring!!!''... My husband just rolls his eyes and goes.. ''Uhuh''

Anywhere I can.

Everywhere basically.

But I especially love the halogen lights under my kitchen vent hood. Yow!!

I just walk around gazing at my finger. I think I must look very strange!

This is making me laugh! We had to go to Home Depot the other weekend and when FI mentioned it, I started jumping up and down. He was so puzzled as to why I would be so excited about going to Home Depot...when we walked in and he saw me ogling my ring, he laughed.

I lost him a couple of times because I was wandering around in circles staring at the diamond. He must have asked my opinion a dozen times but he says all I would mutter is, "Uuuuuuuhhhhhhhh. Mmmhmm...OK."

The movie theater is great for fire. Rainy days are great for white brilliance. When I hop on the subway sometimes, I want to peek at the diamond because it''s so sparkly but I''m afraid to. A very nice grandmother yelled at me once for not turning it around when I ran in the subway because it was raining so hard... too difficult to catch a cab when it rains!

Love the replies, not only are they very funny but they''ve given me some great ideas! Think my daughter may have started ogling diamonds already (she''s 7 months) - we went to Hatton garden on Saturday (the diamond quarter in London) and she was pressing her face up to the windows and gazing at all the gems! Hmmm, might be cheaper if she got into ponies first!

This is bad, but I like to look at my ring (my EC) in the pool and in the shower :)

In a lift (elevator) with metal or mirrors on the walls.

LOL! My daughter has been into countless jewelry stores since she was born. She's 18 months old and has started saying, "jewels"

I love looking at my ring in the rear view mirror of my car and in Home Depot!
