I finally found the band I love for my wedding band. Here is the link to the actual one I fell in love with. I know Jared''s isn''t well loved, so any help I will be greatful for. I''m not looking to spend any more than the price of it, so if this seems to be the cheapest, it''s what I will go with:

http://www.jared.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product1%7C10451%7C10001%7C-1%7C530640008%7C19061%7C19061.19079.19111

I like how the ring has just one prong between each stone, I love the 5 stone look, no more, no less. I also like how the band tapers (Not sure if that''s how to describe it, but it looks thinner/narrower right next to the last stone on each side.) beside the last diamond on each side, so that is also a must. I seem to have found that this is called floating diamonds.

I also looked at Blue Nile to find something and came up with these two but I would really like a 1/2 carat total weight, as anything bigger is obviously more expensive and not only that, will make my engagement ring look tiny, I don''t want my diamond band to look bigger than my 1/2 carat engagement ring. These are what I found on the Blue Nile website, they don''t seem to carry the 1/2 carat total weight in this style:

This first ring is a nice size but I don''t like how it has 2 prongs between each diamond, it''s a nice size, and a good price, but I really would like just one prong between each stone.

This next ring is perfect, but the price is too high, the stones are too big, and it has 7 diamonds... I wish this came in a 1/2 carat total weight with 2 less stones but I''m showing to give people an idea:

ANY HELP IS DEEPLY APPRECIATED. I will take any advice, if you think Jared''s will be quality and worth the price, I''ll go with it, but I see a lot of people on here shopping elsewhere. My main points are price, which DEFINITELY HAS to be under $1,000, but my fiance agreed on the Jared''s ring, so ideally that price or less which was $799. It must be 1/2 carat total weight or less, but preferably not, I love the size of the stones with my engagement ring. The ring must only have one prong between each stone, I guess this is called floating diamonds from what I''m reading. And lastly, I like how the bands taper before the last stone on each side, I think this also adds to the floating ring effect. Any help is deelpy appreciated, I''m trying to find quality for my money as we went to Kays and I have a Leo diamond that I LOVE. But I''m sure we overpaid even though we did get a pretty deepd discount plus we traded in an old diamond of my mother''s that was garbage from there, I don''t want to shop there ever again. Their selection and customer service is very poor and after the rotten things the manager at the local store put me through, I gave my word that they would never get my business again. I know Jared''s is connected, but at least their style, selection, quality, and customer service is better than Kays.

Hi Jesi,

I was all set to tell you to get the Jared ring if it was what you liked and afordable, it would not be the end of the world to get something from them. However, when I saw the minimum clarity on the stones, I had to say no way. They are I1-I2. That is too low, especially in stones of this size. You could very possibly see the inclusions with the naked eye, and I would venture to say that it will decrease the diamonds light return/sparkle. It''s just not worth that much money for so inferior of stones.

So, I would suggest contacting BGD, and at least see if there''s any way possible to have them make what you want. They are great to work with, and quite willing to please. If there''s a way, they''ll find it, and it can''t hurt to ask anyway.

ACTUALLY, this ring shown on the website isn''t the same exact actual ring I tried on in the store, I just meant it was the same..."model" number. The one I actually looked at in the store I believe she said was an SI2, which is what my engagement ring is. I can''t remember what the lady said the color was in the stones, but on the tag of the band, I believe she told me the number was 36. I don''t know if anyone knows what that means, but she said most of the time they have 36, 37, and 38, and that 36 was the best out of those numbers. So if anyone knows! That would be greatly helpful!

What is BGD? Is that the link you have posted? Thanks for you help Ellen!

The concept of the ring you found at Jared''s is pretty simple and can be made by practically any one of the vendors here on Price Scope in a variety of prong configurations... Read the reviews on various vendors and then just ask a few of them for a quote based on the style of the ring shank and your preference for the prong configuration and diamond quality.

Ah, ok! (an SI2 in stones that small may still affect them, but no way for us to know)

I have no idea what those numbers mean, never heard of them before.

And yes, that link is to BGD (Brian Gavin Diamonds)

I''ve never heard of those numbers either, on the tag at Jared''s they were in the bottom corner of the tag...I''ll have to look more into that and figure out what to do. Ugh! So much work I need to do I suppose!
