Then: 0.81 ct MRB to 1.9 ct MRB (in Victor Canera dual shank halo) to 3 ct MRB (in BGD Truth 3 stone)

Now: 3.6 ct MRB (in Victor Canera Gabriella solitaire) + 5.05 ct AVC (in Steven Kirsch halo)

Okay, in the first picture on top is my original set, 1 ct solitaire and little diamonds in the yellow gold band. I wore this for a LOT of years!!! My upgrade joining PS in 2006 was a 1.63 H&A stone from GOG set in a temp setting with a .75 ct Memoire 7 stone band.

The 1.63 ct stone then went for a short time into a wg H Levi solitaire (pic #2)and finally ended up a Leon Mege platinum classic solitaire with a Tiffany Legacy wedding band. (pic #3)

Then when diamond prices went up, I sold the 1.63 and found a great priced 1.58 rb with SBF and set it in a Vatche U-113. Still used the Legacy band for this one. (not pictured because I think a post will only allow 4 pics) But this experience made me feel like I still didn't have what I really loved.

Sooo, as most of you know, I sold that diamond and we bought a 2.3 ct AVR from GOG and set it in the Vatche U-113 (pic #4) until I decide on an antique style setting (if ever). I still wear the Tiffany Legacy band. I am seriously hoping this is my forever stone! I am not saying it is my last diamond, though!

Well, unlike most gals on this thread, I got my first e-ring and wedding band on April 1st - day before yesterday. After months of researching and hunting, I finally found the best stone we could afford.

Shout out to Gypsy for indirectly pointing me to my source, High Performance Diamonds. That story will follow with better pictures when I have time this weekend to take some. This is a 1.21 G VS1 AGS000 Crafted by Infinity, custom set in platinum with 6 G VS .20 ct sides. The matching wedding band has 7 G VS .25 stones. I don't think I'll be upgrading for quite a while as these rings will be hard to get bored of! I am beyond thrilled with both the quality and workmanship of my rings, and their brilliance is far more dazzling in person than what these pictures can convey!

I'm not married yet so my WB is being held hostage by the mean fiance.... But I'm completely in the same boat as LLJ'smom!! I've got the bug! Lord help me. But it's not to replace anything, it's to have another, lol. While waiting for this set I pulled the trigger on a small preloved PS OEC triple stone vintage ring for my upcoming birthday! I'm in love with all the OECs I see here, and know that a bigger one is indeed in the future. Not that the mean fiance needs to know that quite yet.... and then there's the stackers...now I'm trying to figure out if maybe I need a spacer ring (with diamonds of course) to protect these two beauties. You see? I got it bad!

So here is the picture of the set Wink sent me before I received them.

And here is my beauty IRL. I love the finger coverage!! This creation is far better than what I imagined and conveyed to HPD.



You cannot believe the life and fire of not just the center stone, but of ALL the stones! They blaze with fire in all light. I can't believe that I own this! I can see the arrows with my bare eyes in even the .20s. Unbelievable.

You see why I won't get bored by these for a long time? And these pix were taken with my old crappy cell phone - they don't do the ring justice at all.

I love seeing the upgrades and/or transformations of settings! I started with a 1.3ct diamond when I was engaged 14 years ago with a really wide yellow gold set ring. I absolutely knew nothing about diamonds back then (top ring in picture)!

Then 4 years ago I finally noticed my diamond had no sparkle and learned about cut! Duh! That lead to my next ring with a 2.3ct diamond in a Christopher Designs setting (middle ring).

Last year I upgraded to my current ring, a 3.25ct MRB in a classic 3 stone ring designed by Steven Kirsch (bottom ring). As some of you know, I am not resetting my 2.3ct into a RHR...coming soon!

Funny, my diamonds have progressively gotten bigger, while my settings have shrunk in width!

HI Misskittycat! It's emeralds and it's not vintage but it is pre-loved and I did get it on ebay. GOOD NEWS though there is a seller that makes it new ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/EMERALD-AND-DIAMOND-BAND-IN-18KT-WHITE-GOLD-/201002072227?pt=US_Fine_Rings&hash=item2ecca838a3 mine isn't from this seller ( I don't think as mine is 14kt not 18kt) but I do believe others have bought that band and been very happy with it.

Finally! the souvenir of my great diamond adventure.

I don't have a lot of resets, but I wanted to chronicle my diamond adventure. In Nov 2013 I bought 2 small BN diamonds [not shown], my "Little D" and a H&A for my daughter.
The photos show many of the diamonds I've lived with -however briefly-as I learned more in what I now know was a quest for great light performance.
Finally after 11 diamonds I found the end of the trail with my WF.
[& kept the Little D].

Here is my journey! I want to start by saying that my center stone is a .78 RB. It is very sentimental to both me and my husband, and it will always remain my main diamond. I love looking into the stone and knowing that my husband picked it out. Maybe 1 day I will get a larger diamond put in a RHR, bc TRUST ME, who doesn't love large stones?! But, regardless of the fact that my husband would be heartbroken if I ever switched it out, I would be as well. However, with SETTINGS, now that is a completely different story!!! And thankfully, my husband has been supportive of me getting my dream wedding set. As I've said before, I've definitely made mistakes throughout this process. And I wish I could take certain decisions back. But, it did bring me to this point, and I'm very grateful for that.

So, here you go!!

I love the first two options! If i went with BGD I'm almost certain I would have picked the truth. It's virtually what I ended up with at WF. I love it. The problem is I continue to look at all the other rings on PS. Still in the wow I have an amazing diamond phase and trying to stay there for as long as possible. Exactly why I bumped this thread to see transformations but also to slow down a bit and really figure out what I want to wear for the long run. Not forever as I am not sure I am a forever girl. My dh loves my current setting. Plus I started out with a much smaller budget and went over. So where te heck are the funds coming from for this new amazing SS, VC, ERD Halo? Where exactly?

This photo tells the tale. I've come a LOOONNNGGG way on PS! Am I done?? You bet! Other than wanting a larger center stone for the 3 stone ring (which ain't happening because it would destroy an expensive setting), I am completely thrilled with my little collection!
