Where can I find a pear halo to try on?

I have a 1.7ct pear diamond in my ER and for my bday, my husband said I can have it reset any way I want! woohoo....
I really think I might want to put it in a very delicate halo. However, before I have it designed, I''d really like to see one and try it on. I''ve looked everywhere and can''t find one. I live in Maryland and have checked several local jewelers in the Baltimore area.

I can find halos with round stones, but I think a pear has a very different look and would like to see it before asking someone to do the work.

Any ideas on where I go from here?

I''m afraid I can''t help too much (with recommending a place to try one on), but I can say that I LOVE your idea!

I came very close to getting a pear for my engagement ring so I could put it in a dainty halo, a la Katherine Heigl. If you haven''t seen hers, do a Google search for "Katherine Heigl Ring".

Thanks so much for your response. I saw a post today with pics of your ring done by Well Adorned and it inspired me to try this process once again. I''d love to know more about your process with Jonathon. Was it all done online/phone or do you live near him? I don''t have a local jeweler that I''m familiar with. I definitley want the halo VERY delicate and want the emphansis to be on the center stone with very little metal showing. Your ring is PERFECT!!!! I''m concerned about keeping the communcation clear without meeting in person.

Ideally, I''d love to see one in person. I''ve seen pics of Katherine Heigl''s ring and love it.
