I inherited my great-grandmothers wedding ring which is platinum with miner''s cut diamonds. I lost one of the diamonds and i am looking to replace it, but unfortunately every diamond shop i go to, I am told they cant help me, but while in St. Thomas, they told me NYC has dozen of places to go to to find a miners cut stone, does anyone know of a place in NYC that I would be able to fix my ring at?
Thanks!

Online, you can contact Dave Atlas (Oldminer here on Pricescope.

I'm intrigued that no one wanted to help you. Old miners can be a little tough to find but they are far from impossible to source. I know of several wholesale firms that specialize in them.

I would think most jewelers would welcome the job. Where do you live that you encounter this kind of reaction?

I wanted some advice and recommendations to who I can go to in Manhatten to help with this situation.

Thanks
