Where can I buy diamonds directly from mines?

I have read many times, even here, that mines are selling directly on internet, but I can't find their websites. I am very interested, as I really don't care for all the bells and whistles of buying from an "important" brand. I care only about the product. So, could you please recommend me a diamond mine or diamond cutters company, to buy from?

I don't think you understand how the trade works.

It would take me too long to tell you why your request is not really possible.

If your goal is to avoid a high mark up. Stick to GIA stones from big vendors like James Allen who sell in large volume at low mark up and provide pics, idealscope images, and aset images to help you make an informed decision.

If your goal is to make sure the diamond you buy is a newly cut one not a recycled stone-- try Infinity Diamonds. High Performance Diamonds is one of their retailers.

Diamonds don't come out of the ground looking like what you see. There's a significant amount of post-processing required and this actually costs as much or more than the mining in most cases. The big cutting houses do own or have interests in some of the distribution channels downstream as well as the mines upstream from them and that's the mine-to-finger distribution chain you're looking for but they would be foolish to be using that channel as a way of discounting the rest of their distribution. You pay a PREMIUM for shopping that way. Who does it? Tiffany. Graff. Harry Winston. Hearts on Fire. Lazare. Argyle (I think), DeBeers.

You can dig them yourself in Arkansas. :naughty:

Try Googling Kimberley Process ;))

Diamonds aren't at all like organic produce bought direct from the farmer at the farmer's market.

I think his goal is to start some kind of jewelry/diamond business. Judging by this and past posts, he does not have much if any knowledge of the trade, reasonable prices, how to make sure he's not getting ripped off... or anything, really. Sorry, Duker, but you probably ought not to enter into a trade of which you have no knowledge.

Well, heck. There are easier ways to throw your money away. Just take all the money you want to invest in a venture which you have no working knowledge about the logistics, realities, and practices, and history of ... go to your bathroom. Lift up the toilet lid and start flushing it down in small clumps. It's good to have a plunger ready just in case. And if you can use old bills, instead of those persnickety new crispy ones, your plumbing will be much happier. :wavey:
