Where can I buy .25 ct pear stones?

Today I tried on Tiffany''s three stone ring (two pear stones on the side), and I immediately fell in love with the setting!! After considering Tiffany 6-prong setting, Vatche RC setting etc..., now I really think this setting may be it for me.

BUT, the setting is a way too expensive for our budget even after I lowered the color grade down to G/H and size to 1ct. Vatche one is about $3400, and I read in a thread that WF one is about $3100.

Now, I''m thinking of asking my local jeweler to do a custom setting, hoping that he can do it for less than $1500 (w/o stones), giving that he said he can do tiffany 6-prong setting for $750. I''m thinking that maybe I will buy two pear stones on line ($500 each?) and bring them in together with my center stone for him to create the setting.

So, my question now is where can I get the .25 ct pear stones? I checked many on-line vendors, but most of them don''t carry many, or some don''t even carry under .3 ct stones at all.

You''d have to contact a vendor and have them bring them in for you. I know WF and GOG can do this for you as well as many other PS vendors. Ask them for a nicely matched pair without bowties. Not sure of what the price tag will be, but talk to them and see what they can find for you. I have the ring you tried on from Tiff''s and wish I had found PS before we got it. Would have saved us a bunch of money, oh well.

Hi Kaleigh, I have to tell you that your ring is beautiful!! Actually the picture of your ring made me want to consider this setting.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. That sounds good; I will ask them.
