Hi all -

I''m getting married here in Canada July 26th. I''ll be in NYC next week on business and would like to do some wedding related shopping. I''m wondering if anyone has any recommendations of good places to look for the following items. In all cases I''m neither looking for bargain basement prices nor crazy expensive prices - I''m just trying to find some unique, good quality things that I wouldn''t be able to find here at home for prices that are not more than what I''d pay here at home.

My list of ''items to look for'' includes:

- dresses for our ''flower babies'' - sizes 18 mos. and 2 yrs.
- matching shoes for our ''flower babies''
- ties for the all of the bridal party men, the groom, and the ring bearer (looking for something in a stripe or pattern in some funky colors w/ pinks and some green)
- unique, classy gifts for both bridesmaids and groomsmen (no, I don''t have any ideas yet!)
- pashminas or other nice wraps for the bridesmaids
- rhinestone hair pins or accessories for me
- wedding jewelry for myself and for the bridesmaids
- the ''theme'' is songbirds, so any little decor stuff that might have birds on it (OK - this is a pretty obscure request, but it''s NYC, so hey - I thought I''d throw it in!)

Any / all suggestions would be most helpful and most appreciated - thank you!!

Bergdorf Goodman.

For everything? Wow - that would be *super-easy* - thanks!

Bergdorfs is my favorite store in the world.

Bendels might also be good for hair stuff, and I would not rule out Saks either.

That''s quite a testament! Maybe it will become my favorite store in the world, too!

Bem, truly it is magnificent. I cannot imagine a prettier store. Their merchandise is amazing. The sunglass and purse dept is great. Jewelry and handbags great too, they have a whole Goyard dept. Also, china, clothes, their make up section, all top notch.

I can''t recommend anything in NY but I wanted to say that Vineyardvines.com has some really awesome ties and there are a alot of bird themed wedding items available on etsy.com. Have fun in NY!

-Definitely Bergdorf''s for the guy''s ties, and some fabulous cuff links (maybe gifts for the guys). They should also have super nice pashminas (but if you search around, I''ve actually found that some of the "street vendors" have decent quality pashminas for like $5/each...I have like 8 colors).
-If you want to try some "bargain" shopping, you could check out Century 21...they probably have all of things you''re talking about, but it can be a mad house.
-As for jewelry, do you want "fakey" but looks good stuff? I''d try Regina B. You need to make an appt. There''s pictures of some of her pieces in my wedding thread

THANK YOU for all of the awesome suggestions, everyone! I''m going to look into them all...
