I have a heart shaped amethyst and someone once told me that if you''re single you wear the point facing up to show you''re available. So there you go for what it''s worth.

I used to wear a pear with a wrap (the set I was married in) and the tip always faced my fingertips.

The only heart I''ve had has been a claddagh ring. And, when you''re "taken" the heart is supposed to point down your hand, if you''re "available" the heart is supposed to point towards the tips. Not sure if that has anything to do with a heart stone though.
