When will the diamonds available increase again

I''ve been doing searches on diamonds to pick a pair for earrings. The selection available is low now after the holidays. When does the selection available increase again? I''m not finding much of anything in the specs I''m interested in. I can usually find one diamond that will work but not a second one.

The price of diamond rough has gone up and from what I have heard....some of the vendors are buying less right now. I think they are hoping prices will level off or go down a bit. The inventory levels are really low right now on the search engines...I have no idea when they will rise again, maybe some vendors can chime in with what their future inventory is shaping up like? I know others have asked this question as well lately...esp in the smaller under 1ctw stone areas for things like earrings.

I am wondering about this as well concerning earrings. I am also hoping the vendors will chime in to let us know what to expect over the next few months regarding inventory and where they see prices going.
