I think its personal preferance. If you know you have found what you want, no point in waiting too long.
I started looking about 4 or 5 months before to figure out what i wanted. I then ordered it about 8 weeks before the wedding and it took about 6 weeks to make, so i cut it pretty close. It took another week to have them engraved.
DHs took about 10 days to get his once i finally got him into the store...
no, it was custom made by a really small manufacturer in PA that our family jeweler uses. I wish i had used Quest here in VA, but like i said before i was pressed for time.
The matching Tacori band is hideous... i never saw it in person, but you could NEVER wear it by itself... it sticks up and wraps around! I cant post the pic, but here is a link that shows it. The other Tacori''s i tried on were nice, but i didnt think they went very well (the "crown" made it hard). Also had heartburn over the matching w-band costing just as much as the e-ring setting.
Thanks ladies. I am not getting married until next Aug and furthermore have no idea what I want my wedding ring to look like or what would look good. I just know I want all diamonds (no sapphires). I am kind of scared of eternity bands (discomfort and no re-sizing frighten me slightly) I was just curious. I will probably really start looking after the holidays.
I ordered my Tacori wedding band at the same time as we did the e-ring so they could make them and match them together. My fiance got a Tiffany band, our wedding is in October and I ordered it in July. No particular reason why then, I just wanted to get it ordered engraved and done with!
