seat down, and I''ve been trained to close the lid as well.

"that''s what it''s there for," he says.

ok.

OMG--K leaves the toilet seat up all the time! It drives me up the wall.

ok... I thought that when you put "Not in service" you meant broken... and how disgusting that people would just put the seat down, and not deal with the problem.

So, now that I''ve caught on... yes, our seat covers are down all the time. At least, that''s how they are once I get home

onetime i left the seat up and in the middle of the night wife had to use it when she was half asleep, she sat down w/o noticing the seat was up.

Seat and lid are down.
My best friend told me this horrifying story about when her dad was younger a rat came up through the toilet...that story has stuck with me for years!

Both lid and seat down here too!

(For the reasons already stated; airborne germs during flushing & swimming cats

Eh...up or down. FI usually puts it back down, but I''m not fussed either way. Stepson puts it back down.

What bothers me is dishes in the sink!

Down and closed. If open, you can accidentally drop something in it. And who wants to go fishing around in there?

A nurse once told me that if you do not close the lid before flushing, you will have airborne particles that you don''t want airborne!

I''ve read this, too!

Our seat and lid are down. One, I worry about stuff falling in. Two, would really rather not seeing dog drink out of it...once was enough!

Down. My dog likes to drink out of them, which I find pretty gross!
