DH was bugging me all day to take the Christmas stuff down, but I held out for 1 more night. It looks so pretty! I get depressed when I take it all down.

What about you? Have you de-decorated yet?

I usually leave my Christmas stuff up until Epiphany (Jan 6) and then keep the snowmen until I feel like spring.

This year, I was actually thinking of taking down the tree early. DH has a long weekend and it would be great if I could get some help with it. It is depressing.

I''m taking my stuff down this weekend. There''s not much, and I''m cleaning up the rest of the living room (where all the decorations are) this weekend so it just kinda goes hand-in-hand.

I''m still basking in the glow of my tree. I will take it down tomorrow... or the day after

It usually takes me up to 10 days after Christmas to say bye to the tree. But it''s fake, so I don''t have to worry about drying up or fire hazards.

This week for sure..

I did it today...I miss looking at the lights on the tree at night, but my living room suddenly looks a lot bigger!

Like somethingshiny, I leave everything up until Epiphany.

Tomorrow.

We always do it the day after New Year''s.

Today.

I hate taking it down, but I go back to work on Monday and I won''t have time after that...

I took it down a few days ago. I got sick of it (and the cats messing with it!) and I was excited to buy those special storage boxes for ornaments!

I left the lights up outside, though...we''ll probably take them down on Sunday.

I''ve always been taught the Wednesday following New Years. I think . . .

Mine is down - whew !!

It takes about 4-5 days of pretty steady work. The tree is the worst, all the ornaments have to wrapped and put in their own little box - ugh!
Then all the big plastic tubs have to go into a walk-in attic.

I still have my "wrapping room" to clean up and organize
And I still have to put the Christmas china and stemware back in the cabinets

Every year I say I will not decorate as much, but in the end, I always do.

Not before Jan 6th, though last year we broke down because our tree was dead, dead, dead.

This year everything is staying up until the 9th, because we''re having a 12th Night party that evening. But I can assure you, I''ll be itching to get things down the next day. I feel like when I go back to work (on the academic calendar) it''s ready for Christmas to end and the new year/semester to begin.

Definitely after Ukrainian Christmas (January 6), but often later.

A few years ago I left my (fake) tree up until July. I took the decorations down in February, but I didn''t really feel like putting the tree away, and then it became sort of a running joke. I only took it down at all that year because I moved.

I undid most of the tree today. The rest of it will probably wait until dh''s next day off (not till the 7th!) because I am afraid of our outdoor storage area where we keep the storage bins, so I''ll wait for him to bring them in, I''ll undecorate, and then he''ll put them back and throw out the tree.

Ours would have been down yesterday or today, but we are having company for dinner tomorrow (was postponed from earlier in the week!) so I'll leave it up until Monday...I'll start taking things down when DS goes back to school and DH is back at work! I always get things done faster with no one else around! But yeah, I'm usually ready to take the tree/decor down soon after Christmas, but this year I feel like I will miss it for some reason!

usually on New Year''s Day but this year it was the day after Christmas due to our vacation

I took our lights down yesterday.

Prolly tomorrow. I set out a bunch of snowmen, so I''ll leave those, but the Christmasy stuff will be put away.

We''re leaving ours up until my mom comes to visit next weekend, and will probably take it down the week/weekend after that. We''d usually do it the weekend after New Year''s, but since my mom couldn''t be here to celebrate with us before next weekend, we want to leave it up for that (plus her presents are still underneath it

I personally don''t xmas-decorate (no kids, why bother?) but my mom always leaves hers up until Epiphany (Jan 6th) since it''s my birthday. She still does it and I get to come over and enjoy her awesome decorating skills, lol.

We did it today since we are having a new front entry way being installed next week and immediatley after that our entire downstairs and upstairs hallway will be painted. I will need to move and/or cover all the furniture and less the clutter the better.

I wasn''t sure when to take stuff down because of my SIL and not sure if it would be "right" to keep the holiday stuff up. Since I have kids, though, I decided to keep the tree up till last night and the rest of the decorations are all gathered up and on my living room floor waiting to be packaged up.

I usually undecorate around New Years as that is when time allows.. it''s kinda an all day job so with working all week that is what is convienent for us.

We took our decorations down yesterday. We''ve still got to find a new home for the tree, though.

I miss my Christmas decor when we take it down too

But we try to take it down shortly after the new year begins.

We''ll keep the indoor decorations up until Jan 6th (Epiphany). We''ll probably take the outdoor lights down tomorrow if I can bribe hubby to take them down in 20-30 degree weather ;)

Since we were out of town, all I did was hang up stocking which I''m taking down.....now....done

Usually, we "undecorate" the first weekend after New Years.
