What is your opinions on the diamond specs below. Would anyone know an AUD price I should be paying for this from a wholesaler.

From all I know and the numbers given, this is a very promissing stone, on par with couple being posted around here near USD 7000 (from 6800 to 7300, approx).

So near the 1ct mark, the price is somewhat influenced by this weight thrashold, so a stone of close size (diameter) but below the mark gets comparatively attractive pricing (THIS ONE). Just FYU, of course.

I was quoted $10,500 for a stone similar to this.

Ow I so regret not going with him. I signed a contract with another jeweller and am stuck with him for another 6 weeks unless he doesn't find me a stone.

How much did he quote you?

Phoenixgirl, what is yur opinion on the diamond.

Stones in that catagory range approx. $6,150.00 ,for similar stones that have ex-ex, none.
Similare stones that range from g-g,vg-vg,are ranging between $5,200-$6,000.00.
Hope this gives you an Idea, if not go on the web and compare simliar stones.

Don't forget they are quoting US dollars. I found in my research that its cheaper to buy a stone in the US, but good luck finding those kind of prices in Oz - make sure you let me know if you do!!

Hi,
I'm an aussie too looking for diamonds and I found that it is cheaper to get it fr US,but we have to pay GST 10% and 50 aussie dollar for custom processing fee and it is still cheaper buying fr the US.The only worry is whether u will be getting the stone u pay for...But I was told on this forum that if u go to a reliable vendor u're pretty safe.I've tried MDX but not much help fr them.Goodluck
