I'm not a really a sandwich kind of gal, but I've had some really yummo sandwiches. Of the top of my head, I'd say Wagyu steak and home-made mayonnaise on sour dough. Another fave is shrimps (big fat juicy ones), with avocado and brie.

I have met very few sandwiches I didn''t like, but my ultimate comfort food (other than mac n cheese) is toasted pita with PB and Nutella, one on each side. Yes, limited in nutritional value, but melty Nutella and Peanut Butter on a fresh/warm softly going crispy at the edges pita? mmmm, I can''t even buy nutella, would eat it too fast.

I love chopped salad with ham or chicken on a warm baguette. Yummm!!

BLT on wheat toast
Avocado on buttered wheat toast
Reuben on rye

Corner Bakery''s Turky Frisco. Description taken from the website:

Turkey Frisco on Asiago Cheese Bread - Smoked turkey breast, marinated artichokes, roasted sweet balsamic onions, fresh spinach, provolone cheese, and sun-dried tomato pesto mayo.

I love me some pastrami and corned beef rueben!

I love sandwiches and I mourn the loss of real bread to eat them on. GF bread is just not the same.

Probably the best panini I''ve ever had is from a place in Hanover NH called Rosey''s Cafe (basement of Rosey Jekes for those of you who know Hanover (aka Whitby!). It''s called the Chicken Mediterraneo and it''s grilled chicken on sourdough with olive salad, capers, tomato and arugula.

At home I love boar''s head roast beef on multi-grain with boursin, red onion and tomato. The same rb is also great with avocado and cheddar on multi-grain.

Grilled cheese for me has to be made with the most sharp cheddar I can find, usually on sourdough or a baguette, always dipped into a cup of Campbell''s tomato soup.

Traditional Reubens also rock my world and I''m a sucker for a good old fashioned BLT or egg salad sandwich on toasted white bread.

Thanks for making me hungry!!!

To go: Wawa''s Roast Beef & Swiss Ciabatta Melt (my current fave, it always changes)

Homemade: hmmm... I like all kinds. PB&J on potato bread, Tomato & velveeta on English muffins (toasted, of course), pastrami & swiss on whole wheat, with spicy mustard & onions.

Sorry, I couldn''t pick just one

They are and I love the baguette bread they use!

Here is a description-

Bánh mì or bánh mỳ) is a Vietnamese baguette made with both wheat and rice flour, but more popularly known as a type of sandwich traditionally made with this type of baguette.[1] The sandwich is made up of thinly sliced pickled carrots and daikon (do chua), cucumbers, cilantro, chili peppers, pâté, mayonnaise and various meat fillings or tofu. Popular bánh mì fillings include roasted or grilled pork, Vietnamese sausage, chicken, head cheese and ham.

My family and I used to have this for b/fast almost every morning.

The avocado swiss chicken sandwich, with grilled onions, from Village Inn. Hah, very low-end, but it is seriously my favorite.

I LOVE sandwiches... DH and I got a panini maker and love creating new ones. One of my favorites is a Cuban (thinly sliced roasted pork loin, thinly sliced deli ham (usually virginia or honey baked), pickles, swiss, and mustard on a baguette or Cuban roll pressed thin and crispy). I also love turkey, brie and apple on whole grain, ham and swiss on soft rye, grilled cheeses... oh my! There is a good deli nearby that does chicken, roasted pepper, fresh spinach and basil, and fresh mozzarella in a wrap with vinegar and oil... mmmm!

Tomato, mozzerella, and basil panini from Panera Bread. Yum

Anything warm, like a panini. I don''t really like most cold sandwiches for some reason except for chicken salad. I''ll eat them, but I don''t crave them, if that makes sense. But something warm and grilled

right now? BLT [bacon, lettuce + tomato with mayo on both pieces of toast] yum!!

All-time, always available favorites: grilled cheese and tomato OR Peanut butter and jelly or banana on whole wheat.

I also love:
warm cuban sandwiches
cold roast beef on a CRUSTY whole wheat baquette with tomato, lettuce, red onion and MAYO!

HH, if you're ever in Gloucester, hit up Destinos. Fantastic Subs.

The only thing I want to eat when I''m in Gloucester is lobster!

Good ol'' ham and cheese grinders. You can''t find a ham and cheese grinder like they make in pizza shops here in MA anywhere else in the country. (People also look at you funny when you use the word "grinder") I''ve traveled the US extensively, I''ve lived in every state in New England, in the south, and on the N&S west coast - and it was one of the only foods I would crave and had to have when I came home for a visit.

Toasted ham and cheese grinders with onions, pickles, lettuce and mayo. YUM.

well that too.

I am very basic with my fave sandwich. I like to use the chunky turkey breast leftovers after holidays on white bread(I know, I know) with mayo on both pieces of bread with lots of salt and pepper. I know that it is terrible for me, but I love them. I love how the mayonnaisey bread get stuck to the roof of my mouth. It just isnt the same with deli turkey so I do not eat it often. I think I only had 1 this year!

Also Big Macs.

I''m not that into sandwiches so the only ones I eat are my favorite. I like:

Tukey bacon blts on wheat with mustard
egg or egg whites on a roll with ketchup and pepper
hummus on wheat with assorted veggies such as sprouts, cucumber, avocado, tomato

I''m with you Swimmer!

Nutella on crepes!

Not sure if it counts as a sandwhich, but it does bring joy to the palate!

I also love an egg and cheese panini, sprinkled with garlic and pepper. Must be Vermont white cheddar and the egg should be cooked over medium to over well.

Or turkey bacon, egg white, fresh spinach and cheddar on a whole wheat toasted bagel....

man, I''m getting hungry...

Many foods I love I cannot eat (like cheese). . .

So for me, a great sandwich has meat (either chopped up chicken or a nitrate free lunch meat - like smoked applewood), with tomatoes, cucumbers & lettuce. I put on it a vegan type of spread since I can't eat mayo. For bread, I love sourdough or whole wheat. I'm really not very picky! ETA - oh, and avacodo too. I forgot about that until I just scanned everyone elses favorites.
