makes the creamiest, easiest mashed potatoes. i probably only use it once or twice a year (thanksgiving, etc.) but i love it! kitchen gadgets make me happy.

I love the warranty on my Cutco knives, plus how well they hold up!! I got lucky and found a complete set of them in Goodwill with the knife block. It''s my best find ever! Spent $5 for everything and the set included a cake cutter, a paring knife, 2 regular knives, as well as 4 steak knives.

I have a generic Slap Chop (the "you''re gonna love my nuts" guy!) - I LOVE this thing. Saves a bunch of time when cutting veggies for soups, pastas, stuffing, and salads. My food processor has moved to the back of the cabinet, only to be brought out for the big occasions.

My new favorite is my silicone-tipped locking tongs. Silicone spatulas are a perennial favorite, I''d be lost without them. I also use my digital thermometer more than I ever dreamed I would, although I''m secretly hoping it dies soon (it''s looking a little sad) so I can kind-of justify this beauty I''ve been seriously craving for months:
