We''ve discussed this a few times, but with all the new people lately I''m curious to see how a poll would turn out

HI:

My dream RHR consists of 30-40 pointers, RB''s, D IF H & A''s. I''ve already seen some stones I wouldn''t mind on JA site....

...but maybe a 5 stone ring instead of a eternity would be realized.....

cheers--Sharon

I chose RHR. My three stone was a gift for our tenth anniversary...although I have worn it on my left hand with a band, I usually wear it on my right. I am way too sentimental to ever upgrade my original diamond. I have changed the setting (a lot), but my DH picked it out all on his own, with a little help from my late MIL...there is a lot of sentiment for me.

Upgrade all the way baby!

My avatar: an OGI baguette diamond platinum band. Or maybe this one from Solomon Bros.:

I have this thing for baguettes.

I voted for diamond band. I got a beautiful HOF 5-stone diamond ring for our wedding anniversary last year, which I wore as RHR for many months. But then I tried it with the wedding set and it was sparkalicious!! I have been wearing it like that ever since. My second choice for anniversary ring present would be an upgrade of e-ring.

Apparently I''m (almost) the only greedy one

I want all of these, but I guess they don''t all have to be anniversary presents

Ya know I was about to click diamond band, because that''s what I think of when I hear the term anniversary band. But really when I think about it, if DH were to get me something for our anniversary I''d probably want something different because I already have an eternity band. So I chose RHR! I would love to have a gemstone with a diamond halo.

I''m not even married yet, but I had a hard time choosing between a round and an emerald cut for my engagement ring, and I know I really want a three stone EC ring for my right hand on a big anniversary down the road!

BIG band.

ok, well, big for me--a substantial eternity band.

for me, a five stone band.

I think that I''d like a RHR or another band would be good too (maybe with some coloured stones in it).

Hi Musey! I had to vote "all of the above", because during different anniversaries in the future, there are different things that I would like. I would like a shared-prong eternity, or a re-set of my eirng for my 5 year anniverysary. For my 10-year, I may want to turn my solitaire into a three-stone, or perhaps get a right-hand 2-stone EC ring. I think it depends how happy someone is with the size of their center stone, their original wedding band or set, etc.

I said all-- they ALL sound yummy

I voted band - maybe one with some sapphires for when I am wanting some color!

Or another diamond band so I can flank my ring on either side.

When we get round to renewing our vows I am getting a 5 stone diamond band .. hopefully 20 pointers.

I can''t wait!

Diamond band to wear on my right hand, an asscher eternity (if I''m dreamin'' may as well go for broke) JUST like canuk-gal''s. Come to momma!

I have to go with a RHR. DH and i have already decided that, if we ever have kids, depending on the baby''s gender, he''d want to get me either a blue or a pink sapphire band to wear with my e-ring and wedding band, so that takes care of that, haha, and i would never in a billion years change anything about my e-ring or my band. i''m waaaay sentimental about those, and i feel like changing them is like saying they weren''t good enough in the first place, and DH picked them all by himself, so it''d break his heart if i even mentioned an upgrade...luckily for me, my husband is a fabulous shopper, so i love my rings as is anyway!

honestly, right now i''d be a lot more excited about a puppy!

I said upgraded eng. ring, but I would want to keep my original diamond and just switch out the setting.

I voted for a band, myself. A stackable one, so not a big eternity or anything.

This is the one I currently love (on the bottom of the Van Craeynest stack):

This is my 10th anniversary ring so obviously I voted RHR. :)

I voted band.

I don''t expect an anniversary ring any time soon. I would expect one maybe at the 10 year or the 25 year. But either way, I would eventually love to have a ring that would replace my e-ring and band all together cause I would imagine that after a few years I wouldn''t want to wear both. I get bored with rings really quickly. I actually spend the entire weekend without my e-ring on unless we''re going out to dinner or with friends.

All or any of the above would be fine. But I really want an ering upgrade. My dream ring right now would be about a 2ct oval with either a halo or half moon sidestones

i want another larger engagement ring. i would never want to give up the original, but would want something more. then i would have a choice of which to wear with the wedding band.

Great thread, Musey! I''d love a diamond eternity band (style to be determined) for my anniversary presey. Before FI and I got engaged I always imagine I''d go with an eternity band for my wedding band. Of course the joke ended up being on me when I fell head over heels in love with a plain band so I''d love to have some extra bling to wear with my set on special occasions

Having said this though, I do love vespergirl''s idea of having one of each of your choices for the different anniversaries

I''d like to have a simple trellis 5-stone EC ring (so I chose band, even though that could be seen as an e-ring update I suppose?)...though I lust over a thick band at my local jeweler''s that has 5 vertical baguettes with two tiny princesses stacked vertically in between each baguette. It''s blingtastic with steps and I love it.

I voted for a RHR. A yummy pink cushion (1:1) with an open culet.
