Hi, this is a quick question, what is the white sheen on the table and facets? is it good or bad or just a characteristic of the test?1.06%20Aset.jpg

I'll have to be honest and tell you that I see no white. Whatever you are seeing is related to the photography or your computer screen. It is a perfect ASET image.

Yeah cool. I was reading up about painting and digging and couldn't work it out and thought it may have something to with the photography. There is a faint sheen on the table and facets. I can see it on my screen which is calibrated for photograpy

Thank you.

I can definitely see what you are talking about on my monitor so it isn't just you. I don't know what it is though, probably just they way they took the photo. Did you look at other diamonds from the same vendor to see if they had the same white appearance?

This is a top quality stone and there is nothing whatsoever wrong with it or the ASET image! It is just the way the photo turned out!

The photo looks a little overexposed but the diamond is beautiful. Your are looking for red, blue and green (not the subtleties of the light and dark of those colors).

so what you're saying is the red in the ASET is all the same shade of red. different ASETS are so different from vendor to vendor that it's hard to work it out, especially for the novice hey...

Yes, all vendors images differ. Thats' how PSer can tell which vendor a person is using based solely on the IS and ASET images. Some do a better job than others. IDJ has some of the worst images I have seen and of course have some of the most beautiful diamonds. So, yes you are only looking for the colors in the ASET, red is red, blue is blue, and so forth.
