What''s the difference between these two Simon G settings?!

Hello all!

My future fiancee and I went ring shopping recently and we think we found the setting that we want! We went to a bunch of stores because she had no idea at first. At Robbins Bros we saw one that she loved and that turned out to be her favorite. It says that it is the LP1973 style, but what's the difference between the LP1973 and MR1501 as seen below?! They're both

but I really can't see much of a difference!

Its hard to say without seeing the sides, but I think that is where you''d see the difference, in the gallery. I also can''t tell but one might have a cathedral shank while the other doesn''t.

And finally, it''s possible that they just represent the same setting for different size stones.

Have you tried using the "contact us" form on their website?

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I actually sent them an email just before making this post. I''m pretty impatient, so I figured I''d post here to see if anyone had any guesses or maybe even just knew. I''ll be sure to post back once I get a reply to my email and if I don''t have one soon I''ll probably call them up.

OK, I got a reply from Simon G:

LP1973 is more of a dome shape and the center sits higher vs MR1501 is more round and the center sits lower.
