What's the best size... color & clarity

I want a bezel set diamond necklace... I think I want the diamond to be .70 or larger.. but not larger than .90... is that too big to do the BGD fixed bezel? I don't like the heavy bezels... :read:

What's the lowest color you would recommend in that bezel size set in 18 kt WG... ? Same question on clarity... :read:

I have been drooling over ForteKitty's stone on PLJ but she hasn't gotten back to me so I am guessing it's sold... which would be a lower color but at the top end of my size range.... and it's so pretty...

Also.. a project very early in the making...and I have to pay Uncle Sam..before I can complete this project... ;(

myself- I have a D color Ering, so for a pendant I would go lower but not too low- I would look for an excellent cut G or H and in clarity, I would just need eyeclean- SI1 or even SI2 if I could find a face up eyeclean stone, that is great.
 
I have the BGD Barbara pendant and I love it! I know that it isn't exactly the same setting but I figure that it's pretty close. My diamond is .80. It's an SI2 and color K. I should state that I like the warmer colors but I don't notice a lot of a tint, even with the K color. My setting is also white gold and I think that it looks fantastic! The diamond faces up really white. I would recommend an I or J color. Even a K, if you're not color sensitive. I called BGD before purchasing that specific diamond to make sure that it faced up white and that it was eye clean. I think that it turned out beautiful! :)

Also, I think that your size range is great. It was exactly what I wanted too. It's noticeable when wearing but it's still delicate.

Pendant, I would go as large as possible because I think on the neck you need some oomph. Color, as low as K-L in an old cut. You don't see body color much from a distance IMO. Clarity, eye clean at 10 - 12 inches. All of this in service of stretching the buck.
